Purchased this to assist a friend in transferring his data from an old desktop computer to a new laptop.
Decided to use this to get good speeds instead of using data network.
I was pleasantly surprised at the transfer speed from an old 3.5 inch spinning hard drive to a new laptop via USB 3.
Once the drive was connected, I just plugged the USB into the new computer and it picked it up first go and mounted it as an external drive.
Lights on it confirmed it was operating too which is great.
The product was exactly what I needed
I was given a few drives by family/friends to see if I could recover data from them as the machines they were originally in had gotten damaged. At first I thought about slaving them inside my computer, but that would have been quite a hassle so I looked around and found this product. It works exactly as it says and saves having to pull a case apart to plug drives in. It's a tad on the expensive side but worth it at the end of the day.
