I chose to buy a Belkin branded cable rather than one at a lower price. As this is an adapter - mini-DisplayPort to HDMI, quality mattered. I have had good results with Belkin over the years. Not much to say about a cable as it either works correctly or it doesn't. This one performs just fine. Which is more than I can say for other DisplayPort to HDMI adapters and cables I've used. DisplayPort connections seem prone to being a bit brittle in my experience and some products will not function correctly with some hardware. This one worked for connecting my Microsoft Surface dock / port replicator thing to my Samsung monitor. Not much to say about a cable as it either works correctly or it doesn't. Good cable that works as described : 1080P video output and multi-channel audio output from mini displayport to HDMI. Works natively on ThinkPad X230 running Manjaro Linux (Kernel 5.15, Gnome 41.2, Wayland). 4K output not tested. Drawbacks : the connectors are a little bulky, and the white rubberised dots may not be to everyone's taste.
