Firstly, this is not a VESA certified cable. It works fine at low resolutions and refresh rates (single monitor, 1440p 60hz without issues) but it will not work if you're going to be daisy chaining multiple screens or using very high refresh rates and resolutions. DP1.2 can support 3840x2160 @ 60hz, but in my experience this cable has been causing flashing/flicking, and often doesn't get correctly detected.
If you're thinking about driving HFR and high resolution displays (even within the DP1.2 standard), I would recommend upgrading to a DP1.4 cable which more stringent requirements, and will likely cause fewer headaches. Exactly what I wanted, fitted the docking station and screens, good short length making it tidier than all my other longer cables. No clutter, tidier desk. Visually, no problems on screen.
