Brilliant Smart Kinetic Self-powered Wire-Free Doorbell with Chime

I’ve been through a few doorbells and had the same issues namely the batteries keep going and you don’t realize the doorbell doesn’t work. This is fabulous - it plugs into the mains so no battery issues, plays loud and had heaps of choices of chime. The bell button is kinetic powered so again no batteries. Really impressed. So simple to install and just loving the different chimes.

Tired of pulling things apart to replace BATTERIES?! This doorbell doesn't need batteries or wiring. Just paste the door bit near on/near your door and plug the chime part into a main socket and turn it on, and away it goes. If you like tinkering around stuff and oo-ing and ah-ing about the tech before being able to use it, then this door bell isn't really for you, there's not much to set but it works great.

Things to set before use: plenty of chimes to keep the young ones and even the old happy. It's got volume control and it can get pretty loud (e.g. I can hear it on the ground floor when I am up in the third).

Only down side, is that the door bit is like a rocker switch; you have to press the bottom part of it to ring it. Press too hard in the middle, which is where one would intuitive press it, it might break the pivot of the rocker. Haven't happened to me yet but won't be too surprised if after a while in the sun, it might be brittle enough to happen. Have pasted a round sticker with a "press here" written on it to mitigate this issue.

It doesn't have a fancy-pancy camera or any audio to allow you to see/hear who is at the front door, but it's decent for something for the price (I paid less as it was Black Friday sale).

Never inter-fares in other bell wireless network like our previous Arlec bell was inter-fairing press some other bell and our bell was ringing was so frustrating. Needed a doorbell for the gate which is away from the front door - this was SO easy to set up, stuck the doorbell on the gate, plugged the chime/pluggy bit in the kitchen and now we have a doorbell! Can't think of any cons - the two bits are probably 4-5 metres apart, doorbell can be set to VERY loud which we like... no complaints so far! What a great and simple to install door bell. As per all Brilliant Smart products, so simple to install and work just as they say it should. Great product, good coverage - about 20m in my case. Would have been a 5 star except for the hassle to convert the push button unit to a screw mounted outdoor unit. Tough to get the push button separated to allow screw mounting. Had to purchase a cover and silicon the push button unit to make weatherproof. Otherwise all good so far. Works great as a call bell and as a doorbell. No batteries needed on the button (transmitter) and the bell (receiver) just plugs into a wall socket.
