Eufy eufyCam Floodlight Pro 2K Outdoor PT Security Floodlight Camera

Exactly as per discription, (dont bother shopping around) my neigbour brought one, and I saw it and liked it, it really track and traces!!!
One thing that's not so clear is that you can mount it vertical or horizontal, mines mounted horizontaly to the sofit.
Easy install! Everything is in the box.
I have it sending notifications to two cell phones, great storage and retrieval and no fees!!!

We live in a small dark cul-de-sac and now the neighbours each side have one, we have the street covered, and the lights make coming up the driveways so much better.

Replaced outside motion sensor security light with this camera. Have used for 3 weeks.
1. Installation: Given existing electrical house wiring, easy setup (requires hardwired electricity)
2. Floodlight: More than sufficient to light up an area for residential home use.
3. Camera: Clear with resolution sufficient to identify individuals.
4. Motion Sensor: 9.5/10, has missed 1-2 instances of detecting myself, and has also triggered on a couple of occasions where there were no noticeable motions. Effective night time motion detection.

The cameras are great to use - very well built and some nice considerations such as strap to hold weight when installing. The downside is they will only connect on 2.4 band which is an absolute pain as most networks are targeting 5 and above and the recognition of the 2.4 band is inconsistent at best. As I run an Orbi network, I had to play around with Guest, password on and off etc to trick it not connecting.
It's a shame so many providers can't seem to keep up with standards commonly accepted years ago. So I was doing a major reno and needed a robust security system. I shopped around and landed on EUFY. With the home base 3 its easy to buy and add on cameras, sensors and alike and the floodlfight cameras not only give a reasonable quality ( 2k) picture but through also act as security lighting.

For me, part of it was keeping an eye on site, but also by prominently mounting the cameras at the front of the building, so it was clear the premises were being monitored but any time you grt close to the front boundary the lights would kick in and illuminate the front boundary.

Great product but it has 2 r 3 annoying downsides,
1) The homebase that the cmareas go back to only comes with 13 gig of internal storage which is nothing so you either need to pay for online storage or buy an internal 2.5 inch hard drive and add it in. I believe you can put memory cards in the camera if you are doing it solo.
2) The other major pain in the neck is that only two users can be logged into the EUfY app, anymore than that and its starting kicking users out.
3) The other problem is that while with internal Eufy cameras you can flip the picture if the camera is installed upside down or at an odd angle. that doesnt seem to work on the floodlight cameras so you need to check the camera is installed the right way up as you wont be able to use the software to rotate the image. Which has been a bit frustrating

I have two of these… pricey but very good.

Very clever item, camera can rotate 180 degrees and follow a person, even if its set to one angle it detects and rotates people 180 degrees away, very clear image. One disappointing aspect is that it cannot record to Eufy home hub but is limited to ?8Gb onboard storage. Very happy with purchase. The first time I looked at buying this floodlight camera security set up they sold out before I could grab one.
I kept it in my wish list though and when it popped up I grabbed one straight away so that I didn't miss out again.
I've been using it for just over a month now and it's worked beautifully compared to other security cameras I have had.

PB tech have been onto it with shipping these days too! I've just purchased another one today and fully expect I will receive this tomorrow if it ships today as indicated.

Having said that I still think it's pretty great value for the money, the peace of mind alone right?
Also everything has become so much more expensive, our weekly grocery shop has probably gone up more in the last month and who knows one may even get a discount on their house and contents insurance with proof of improved security etc. :^)

I fully recommend this to all looking for a great security package that is easy to install if you have DIY skills and of course a 240v power cable to the location of installation. That much is needed and will require an electrician to wire up for you but well worth it as my experience with the battery powered models isn't great. This unit blows those out of the water.
Flood light is awesome bright and conveniently adjustable.
