Xiaomi Mi Camera 3M/2K Indoor Smart WiFi Camera

Bought this and hoped would work seamlessly as other Xioami products, so far had no luck connecting it to Xiaomi Home app to complete the setup. Tried you tube etc.. no luck so far. Biggest waste of money out there. Honestly a waste of time. I can’t even get it to connect to my phone as it seems to need to be plugged in right by the router in order for it to sync. Camera repeats its self to you on one voice setting during set up and gives the instructions in both Chinese and English. Biggest regret buying as it can’t even be bloody used it’s that hard to set up and sync. Never ever buy this product. Waste of time and money. Biggest waste of money out there. This camera seems to be the same as the very good 360 2K Pro, just without motorized swivel. But some of the smart functions are missing such as person movement in playback.
No Bluetooth setup
No local NAS storage option.
Setup is very tricky, and none of the documented setup steps worked for me, but eventually I was able to get it going.

I managed to click connect my phone to the "manual setup".

Tips:
Reset the device upon first boot. They advise you to do this, and they are not kidding.
Connect your phone wifi to the camera(it will show as a hotspot after a few minutes.
Run thru and choose "manually setup" when you see the option.

When the camera's voice setup asks you to enter a pin in your app it will read out that 4 digit pin. This part is difficult to understand, and the numbers will be followed with a short chinese like word. Example. 8024 will sound like "Eight she, Zero ah, two zah, four zee".

Not a bad camera, would be better if it could be hung upside down from the ceiling. The Magnetic grip just isn't strong enough. Also not great for wallpaper. Bought 3 of them, and only 1 able to establish a connection, very next day when I took the other two back for replacement, It was out of stock.

Purchased 2 of these to keep an eye on our pets. Easy to install and set up, great picture quality and they don’t look too obnoxious sitting in the corner of the living room. They Don’t come with power plugs only usb leads and would be nice if they had camera lense shutters for extra security when cameras are off but not many cameras do have this. Great little camera when it stays connected to the network - disconnects every 10 days to 2 weeks and needs a full manual reset/reconnect, which is a VERY painful process with this model. Very good day and night image, better than my expensive rubbish Arlo brand 4K camera's - great night time images without using IR. This is not an issue with other Xiaomi brand camera's I use. Regularly kicks itself off the wifi and requires manual resetting and reconnection, typically it lasts about a week. Definitely do not use if your wifi system has an automatic reboot schedule.

A headache to set up but once going, you get a very good and detailed picture quality. Intuitive app interface. Looks good/well built. Switch on/off through app. You are limited on placement angles. At the best of times Xiaomi home software can be buggy. But setting up these cameras is infuriating - just got stuck in an endless loop (I'm even using a Xiaomi phone). These ended up getting smashed with a sledgehammer after many attempts over several months.

i bought one first to monitor my entrance door for the safety concern, works well and later bought another one to monitor my cats when i'm away it gives me instant trace of them.
