The DVR5 4-camera security system is ideal for monitoring all of your property. The DVR5 connects seamlessly to the SmartVU Home™ app giving you complete remote access. When the DVR5 detects movement, even at night, it can notify you with a motion snapshot so you can see what triggered the alert and decide whether it is the neighbours cat or an intruder. Even if it is night-time the powerful infrared LEDs on the cameras ensure clearer, smoother and sharper images - giving you more peace of mind.
Enjoy the peace of mind that comes from being able to remotely view your home at any time, from anywhere. And if there is movement within the camera's view, you will receive a notification via the SmartVU Home™ app.
Recording & Playback
With the built-in 1TB hard-drive you are able to record any movement and then play it back. Or you can choose to have all 4 cameras recording 24/7. The VGA & HDMI outputs on the DVR5 allow you to connect a monitor if you intend to have a local screen to check your security, but the same features are also available on your device using the SmartVU Home™ app. This allows you complete control over your recordings from anywhere in the world.
Installing the DVR5 is very simple, you do not need a professional installer. Because the cameras are wireless network connected you do not need to run any tricky network cables. The camera's only require safe 12 volt power via the included plug packs. Because 12 volt is safe, you can run those included cables yourself.
The base unit (NVR - network video recorder) of the DVR5 is placed near your internet router or modem. The included network cable is used to connect the DVR5 base to your router or modem.

Connect & Control on One App
All SmartVU Home™products are connected via the SmartVU Home™app that is available for free download on Android and Apple iOS. The SmartVU Home™app works with Google Assistant™ and Amazon Alexa™ on applicable products along with touch controls.
*The DVR5 by default is configured to overwrite previous recordings once the hard-drive is full. It can alternatively be configured to stop recording when the hard-drive is full.

Easy to set up and it just works.
It took me all of about 5 minutes to set up the base unit, and a bit longer to complete the physical installation of the 4 cameras. I needed to purchase some extension CCTV power cables to run them from a central power source but these were easy to get. Within a minute of plugging each camera in they were fully operational with live video appearing on the screen. The cameras are super accurate in identifying humans, and the app allows me to have the system set up as a virtual doorbell, so I know when someone is coming to the door before they get there. This is excellent for deliveries. I'm very happy with the system.
Great Home Security
This SmartVu sytem would be hard to improve upon. At first sight the cameras seem small, but they have four very powerfull infrared emitterss, which allow visibility at night as clear as day. Their images are stored on a 1 terrabyte har drive, but even with this old images can be overwritten with new ones. There might be better succurity systems out there better than this one, but I very much doubt it. The only minus: Although the cameras communicate with their contol box via wireless, they still require a power source, which need to be passed through exterior walls if you want to mount them outside. Really good for the price
The cameras work very well - good resolution, night mode is great. The software is a little hard to use at first, but can get used to it in a few days. Not the easiest to use, and the interface is a bit basic, but it really does the job well. Very easy to monitor various areas from one place and playing back all cameras at once is easy for tracking movement from one area to another.
The storage you get with the system (1TB) is also very good for the price.

Shipping Security & Insurance
All orders shipped by PB Tech are sent via a courier with a signature required for each delivery. In some cases, and only where you have given the courier company permission to leave orders at a designated location, your order may be delivered without requiring a signature. All orders sent by PB Tech are fully insured in the unlikely event that your item(s) are damaged or go missing in transit.
1 Hour Store Pick-up / Click & Collect
You can pick-up your online order from any of our stores nationwide. You can select which store you want to pick up from at the checkout. Provided the store you select has stock and there's no hold-ups with payment we will have your order ready within 1 hour (during normal trading hours for that store) otherwise it may take up to 5 working days to transfer the stock to the store so your order can be fulfilled. Returns & Warranty
7 day right of exchange
If you change your mind after making a purchase, or realise you have ordered the incorrect item, you can enjoy the peace of mind that we offer a 7 day exchange policy.
To exchange a product, goods must be sealed / unopened, with packaging in original condition, and accompanied by a valid receipt dated no more than 7 calendar days from when you request an exchange.
If there is not a suitable product that can be exchanged for your returned item you will be offered a credit on your account or gift card based on the value paid at the time of purchase.
Please note, items purchased on finance cannot be exchanged for a gift card.
Hassle free warranty service
If your product develops a fault within the manufacturer warranty period, you can either contact the manufacturer directly (some manufacturers provide a high level of warranty service - including free pickup or in some cases onsite repair), or return to one of our services centres / stores. Where the product has been directly imported by PB Tech, you need to contact us directly or present the product at any one of our service centres / stores together with your proof of purchase.
If your product develops a fault outside of the manufacturer warranty or PB Tech warranty period, we offer a full repair service and are an authorised repair agent for leading brands such as Samsung, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo and more.
