TP-Link Tapo C110 3MP/2K Indoor Wi-Fi Camera

I use this pointing out of my window after we had some packages stolen and it's been working great. I do not use any cloud services with it, and host my own NVR for it and it's been flawless. The only small downside is the reflection from the UV lights on the window if they are enabled, but it was easy enough to disable them. Good quality camera with the Tapo care free for the 1st month (then $5.99/month per camera). Clear pictures even in the dark (black & white when dark) which allowed us to see when the neighbour's cat was sneaking in to eat our cat's food. The app works well & camera view can be seen when away from home, with 2 way voice, so a great product for us. Works well and integrates with IOS and Android apps. Motion sensor works well for people and cars but not my small dog.

Can use the app without sub fees, just need a way to store it, either Micro SD or can do it via the FTP/NAS route
Using them as outdoor cameras but from the inside and work great. Connect quickly etc

I did not think I could install security cameras at the beach house without an NVR or base station. I was pleased to see this camera can do it by communicating direct with the wifi and using a memory stick if needing to record. Audio both ways is also possible. Picture quality is good, movement alarm function included, and infra-red built in for night time viewing. I was also amazed at the reasonable pricing. I recommend the Tapo system. The camera performs well for the price point and the software (i.e. the app) is nicer to use than some of the more dedicated systems. Scrubbing through footage is smooth, and the software doesn't coerce you into paying for a subscription. The image can be inverted but not rotated (only 180 degree flip). The motion/human detection offers adjustable sensitivity but can be hard to get right. If the camera faces outdoors behind a window, at night the image is blown out by the IR LEDs. I specifically got the 2k res version as I have other tapo outdoor cameras with that res and wanted the same quality imagine yet this just looks so Much worse when playing back the video. I have doubled checked and it is recording at the highest settings it just looks worse then the other two 2k res cameras that I have. It sis still usable. Ur feels like it's 1080p not 2k when you compare the videos. Other then that it's still a decent buy for the price given it's 40 bux. You can see week at night as long as there is plenty of back lighting. There is night vision but if camera is facing glass the light reflects. I read another review that said to turn off night vision and it's fine. The only thing I don't like is fast forwarding and rewind is manual so can be jumpy.
