Almost good enough for Google Chrome.
Huge performance jump from my 3900x, boost well over 5ghz all the time on many cores, using a 360 AIO temps stay well under control and nowhere near thermal limits. Fantastic part.
Fastest single-threaded CPU out there... and it has 32 of them. Runs my workloads (software compiling) about 3x faster than my 2700x. All of this with reasonable temperatures (max 76c with overclock under an NH-D15).
I'm rendering hour long 4k videos in under 15 minutes now, it's quite simply insane. It's also a beast for gaming so how could I recommend anything else?
So my upgrade was from a 3950x to this , I was a bit ho hum about if I should do it , the numbers didn’t seem all that much better ... however .... it’s a very different animal and well worth the shift .

A really great CPU for both gaming and productivity!
I went back and forth over should go go 8, 12 or 16 cores.
At the end of the day if you get 16 cores when you only need 12 today your use case can easily expand to 16 over a couple of years.
The performance benchmarks on multicore use are fantastic and at the moment the only way I've been able to stress all cores at once.
I am cooling with the Cryorig R5 Single tower air cooler.
this has to best the best CPU i have ever had, superfast & can run anything you throw at it
total overkill for gaming!
This cpu is great it supports my dual 3090s and runs games with over 500fps
