Do you own this product?
Only purchase if you plan on using the built in streaming apps.
Few things to note:
* Cannot stream DTS/DOLBY TRUEHD/MASTERAUDIO. Can only bitstream stream compressed dolby digital audio.
* Chokes on high resolution 4K videos.
* USB ports can be used with external ethernet adaptor, limited to 100Mbit.
However, if you are just streaming Netflix/Disney + etc, go for it.
Absolutely rubbish
We have had this streaming box for about 12months. It is slow to respond once pushing a button on the remote, freezes and reverts back to the menu in the middle of watching something, constantly needs a hard reset. There's better products out there. Don't do it.
Brilliant little Google TV box
Had the 1st generation for years, then upgraded to get HDR. Plays anything we throw at it, remote is great, optical out for our surround sound is great. Really pleased.
Xiaomi TV Box
Simple to set up, great price, and now I can watch multible platforms on my 5 year old Panasonic TV including the Freeview on Demand ones that were problimatic with this excellent TV. But most important, fits in the palm of my hand, so I can take with me anywhere to enjoy what I want to watch. Thumbs up from me.

Great product for the price
Great device I bought two no issues I don’t have to buy new TV now my old TV is all smart now.
All you need
The Xiaomi TV Box S 4K Media Player is smooth to use and has a nice suite of apps. Unfortunately some of the Xiaomi Apps only work in China, but there were only 2 or 3. Otherwise one can use almost all apps from Google play & Google TV.
Sometimes the screen casting is iffy but I am happy overall. I really like that the Xiaomi TV Box has a digital audio out so it connects nicely through to my surround system and I can control the surround sound system's volume from the Xiaomi TV Box's remote control.
Amazing Little Box!
It is possible to watch netflix which is a native app and install further apps such as tvnz to enjoy a wide range of programming. Because the unit has chromecast built in, it is also possible to use other services such as Qobuz and cast to the mi box to enjoy music via your hifi receiver. The quality is also great.
Sadly, it doesnt make toast.....
Highly recommended.
