Great product
Works as it should instantly with no problems.
Didnt work
Bought this product after my old laptop had suddenly died while overheating, figured because my SSD was not close to the source of the heat i would be abe to recover my files by using this. Turns out this thing may aswell be a fancy light box, cause thats all it does. Ive been trying to connect it to my new laptop, but no matter what i do, where i plug it in or what i press, it will not give me access to my files.

it works well as an external drive the plastic feels cheep but that's what you get for the price.

It's OK. but..
I thought the casing was soft (shock absorbing) plastic.. but it's not. It's the cheapest enclosure you can find.. which was to be expected. I'll be putting bubblewrap around my casing to protect my drive from shock - which is very common with an external unit. Very easy to install though - click open, insert drive, done.
Cooked my SSD
I needed to transfer some large files for a client so removed an ADTA 256Gb SSD that normally resides in my case. It's worked flawlessly for the last five or so years that I've had it. Put it in this and it fried it on the second use.
Does its job reliably.
Tool-less and quick installation, which is very handy if you want to swap out the drive quickly. Don't get one that requires screws, this one doesn't.
Easy to use HDD enclosure
This is a great unit to keep an old harddrive's data available or use it as an external drive. It was easy to install and I didn't need any special tools to get up and running with it.

A reasonably priced option for a simple USB enclosure for 2.5" SSD drive
Did the trick
I needed an enclosure to rescue the HDD from my fried laptop. This was simple to setup and works well. I've got all my data back and an external HDD now.

When my cheap SATA to USB adapter died leaving me unable to hoot my raspberry pi Plex server it was pretty annoying!
Luckly PBTech was able to ship this to me and have me up and running again.
It works perfectly and the only con I could say is the plastic feels low quality but that's to be expected at the low price point.
Good product but I forgot to order...
The product worked well but I wanted to use it for a SSD which didn't accommodate. So I bought a Msata convertor board https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/SEVOEM9579/M2-B-Key-NGFF-SSD--Msata-SSD-to-SATA-3-Convertor-C which fitted inside the enclosure and works well together..
