Mostly plug-and-play, other than the Razer LED control software which you can skip.
-- I was reluctant to buy this as Razer gear usually requires Razer software, luckily being that older TB3 chip Windows supports it out-of-the-box. MacOS does NOT support this older chip without Kernel Extensions (google kext or look at eGPU.io website). Combined with the Official Apple TB3 to TB2 adaptor (MMEL2AM/A) you can connect this to older TB2 MacBooks.
-- There are issues with the older chip in this if you use more than the GPU slot, ie the USB and Network there is unexplained lag (google it). For GPU only use I've seen no issues, other than the Razo...view more
