I needed an external HD case for an old 2.5" drive . This was perfect as the top cover just popped off and you slid the drive in and put the cover back on. I didn't realise these things existed, and I'm glad I found this one. A handy little gadget to have around.
Simply ideal to extract data from older ssd's or 2.5in sata hdd's and transfer it to the up-to-date computer or to whatever takes a USB plug.
PB Tech, as usual speedily efficient. I particularly like the way I'm taken to my bank to transfer the funds there and then. Saves a lot of time!

This sata enclosure works well with both ssd and hard disks. When used with the lexar ssd purchased together, large files (10-20GB) can be saved in literally minutes (20GB in 2min, personally tried), making this a really handy tool for backing up large files. It works well but it seems quite difficult to close the casing over once an HD is inside it. Perhaps it was just the drive I was using, but works fine without the cover anyway.
