Great Product for the Price
I purchased it a week ago, and I was amazed to see the capability of this machine. Few of the great things:
- It has infrared so you can sign in with facial recognition, also has a fingerprint sensor.
- Two tone backlit keyboard.
- Touch pad works like a mouse. You can scroll with two fingers on the left, pinch to zoom in and out.
- HD display.
- Has a virtualisation mechanism built in for VM’s and of course Hyper-V.
- Has nearly invisible scratches on top, display has no scratches.
The only downside is battery power, it lasts almost less than two hours, but that’s okay as it’s not a new machine.

Bad quality
I’ve had a terrible experience with the Lenovo ThinkPad T490s. After only six months of use, the laptop stopped turning on completely. I sent it in for warranty repair, and they claimed to fix the motherboard, but it still wouldn’t power up when I got it back. I had to send it in a second time, and they said they replaced the motherboard entirely. Even with less than a month of use after that, the same issue persisted. This has been a huge inconvenience and disappointment. The quality control and customer service have been severely lacking. I wouldn’t recommend this laptop and its services to anyone.
It would be hard to distinguish between this refurbished on an a new one!
