So my Stepson gets around the current parental control by changing his laptop address (daily!!) will this prevent that from being able to happen? The name is not being changed but that’s oviously not being recognised. Thanks

This may due to the DHCP serivce on your modem which give different IP addresses after the previous one expired. You can assign a static IP address for his laptop by using the laptop wifi mac address which is unique uder the DHCP section on your modem settings. Enable wifi filtering to block any unknown mac address to prevent he changes the mac address manually and you will regain control over his laptop internet access if he changed it.
