Brought this on a sale PB Tech were having to replace an old hard drive in a computer.
It has sped up the start up and loading on the computer hugely.
The SSD was a lot smaller than the original HDD but has same connection so could still install securly.
Put it in the laptop and away it goes. No drama. Expanded my 250GB factory laptop and fighting for space every day to no hassles plenty of disk space. Four stars just because I have had it only for a short time and under observation. Cheers PB Tech.
For the cost this is a good buy for the entry level user moving from spinning disks, or as a mainstream desktop ssd again a good buy.

The samsung Costs $450 vs the $175 for the HP - but does 550(ish)mbs all day long in all use cases - this HP drive is not great a random of deep workloads, and runs 10 degrees hotter .

Right price for me.

My PC came with a 256mb ssd which was used for the OS. Windows 10 programs filled that up quickly and if you use a different drive for programs then it messes with win10 upgrades.
Cloned the 256 os drive to this and all worked great :) Got the fast loading times and lots of space for programs

This SSD is a very good product when considering the specs and price. I put a 1TB and a 500GB S700 into older HP Probook and EliteBooks over the last 12 months. It makes a huge difference to speed but the installation was painless. Connected the S700 to a USB/SATA I/F, cloned the old HDD to the S700 with Clonezilla, installed the S700 in the laptop and away it went. Just had to change the BIOS to Legacy Boot. Easily recommend the HP S700 as an excellent product.
