Scales appear to be all good. The actual weighing is accurate - however all of the other features it supposedly has, such as bone density, muscle, fat percentage, hydration (the most inaccurate) and protein seem way off/very inaccurate. But it’s not all bad, please read the pros and cons below, if you would like. :)

They are small, strong, modern, sleek and stylish. Be sure to buy batteries however (AAA, the skinnier ones).

Cons:

I drink 5-6.5 litres of water/green tea a day and I’ve never been considered “hydrated” I’ve never even hit “sufficient” before.

I’m currently bulking up/building muscle, downing a bunch of protein, and yeah, I have never hit even normal protein values.

Again, if you are buying these to get accurate measurements in many areas of your health, you will be greatly disappointed. But if you are wanting a fairly cheap, modern pair of accurately weighing scales, with the ability to track your weight in a visual timeline, I’d fully recommend it. It’s why I decided to rate at a 4/5, rather than a 2/5, as for the price it’s not a bad buy. I have paid far more for a basic pair of scales. I love being able to see visual progress that can stem back to the first time you ever weighed yourself.

The other stuff is a bit of a laugh - the hydration thing may encourage you to actually drink more, to try and appease the app.

Unfortunately the BIA measurement this scale does is not great - it consistently only reads me as massively dehydrated, regardless of my real hydration, causing all the derived measurements (BF%, Visceral fat, etc) to always be significantly wrong and leading Mi Fit to give me nonsense health warnings. My previous scale has a 2-pad BIA measurement and never had this problem, it always gave consistent and plausible measures.

Bear in mind that most of this information doesn't change that often, so I would say your weight, BMI and Body Fat Percentage would be the most useful information you get on a day-to-day level. It also syncs data with the Health app on iPhone which is really great.
However, there are some parts of it which I don't like either. The mi-fit app that you should install for this is just okay, hasn't really got any major updates in the past two years which means Xiaomi is not investing the time on this product. (at least on iPhone) You have to leave the app open every time otherwise your weight would not be logged on your phone. I can have also witnessed significant changes in the information it measures during the day, for instance, I could have a major change in my body fat percentage if I scale in the morning and also night. This leads me to believe most of this information are solely or majorly dependent on your actual weight rather than any smart direct measurement.
Therefore if you're an athlete or someone who wants to keep track of their body more precisely and wanna spend more money on it, I suggest going with more up-to-date devices from other brands such as Withings. However, if you just wanna know your weight in a smarter way and don't really care about these smart details, this is a good device for you.

The manual says you can use the Mi Fit app (you can't, it only does watches) or the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home ( you can't, the app only supports the S400 model scale).

With bare feet it will show additional mesurements like bmi, water, body fat, viceral fat percentages and the data gets added to the app and can track changes over time. The app also will pair with and add the data from other Xiaomi devices like watches and bands. This and my smart band watch works great for me as I try to track and improve my health and fitness.
