This review is after 20 hours of clean time. Our house is a modern 2 level home approx 240sm in size. Hard wood floor downstairs, as well as a couple of rugs, the bathrooms are tiled. Upstairs consist of carpet + tiled bathrooms. After thoroughly researching every machine on the market, we needed something that would do a decent job mopping while having solid vacuum performance on carpet as well good battery life. The ability to set no go zones such as the rug downstairs while the robot is in mopping mode. It does an excellent job getting into places I didn't think it would be capable of ie. under certain furniture. The vacuum part of the robot also excels on our upstairs carpet. It does need to be adjusted to a stronger setting but with it's large capacity battery, it can complete our whole upstairs on a single charge even on turbo mode. The auto-empty station not only makes maintenance an much easier process it also allows the robot to function at 100% with every single clean. The main brush does need to be cleaned manually as it clogs up with hair etc, but so does every other vacuum cleaner. The only issue I have is the lack of Google Assistant functionality, only basic clean up and return to base commands. Would be convenient to direct it to specific areas of the house with voice commands without the use of the app.
Overall it's a 10/10 for me, i only hope that it ends up going the distance and won't require any major repairs - build quality seems to be pretty good.

NO More! our Xiaomi Mop 2 Ultra changed all of that. Michelle ( as in American Pie band camp girl - her name in our household, because she sucks with such enthusiasm) sits quietly in the corner of the lounge and twice a day announces that she is about to start her cleanup cycle.... 50 minutes later she lets me know by text message that her cleanup is completed. She returns to the dock everytime and the dock magically clears her dust hopper perfectly every time. We've had her just on 10 days now and yes, twice she has lost comms to our wifi router and taken herself off on an adventure into our adjoining garage. Both times, sucking up screws and zip ties on the floor or getting stuck on coils of extension cables resulted in a message to tell me she was stuck.

Not a problem at all, I go and pick her up, easily and tool free open her brush head and remove any blockages before returning her to her dock station. once here, she recalibrates herself, reconnects to the wifi and life is good again. take note, getting lost twice in the 23 times she has cycled around the house, in our minds is not an issue.

Her app UI has been incredibly easy to use, the setup of virtual walls and do not vacuum areas was really childs play to setup on my phone. I have to admit that even though I love a good user manual, I have not read a single page of the two manuals provided with the vacuum and the docking bin.

A HUGE added benefit of having MIchelle around has been the subtle change in mindset of the kids around making sure they pick their rubbish up off the floor. no longer do shoes, clothing and school bags get left lying around. Not that Michelle would have any issue with these, her bumper is sensitive enough that shed just nudge into them, turn around and clean around them. Our pets are not bothered by her, unless she bumps into their tails, but they just calmly get up and move away, unlike when I used the normal household vacuum which would have them running away and cowering form the noisy machine.

We've also noticed how our very old, tired household carpet has regained a new level of loft and freshness... A labrador and 2 cats worth of shedding is kept easily at bay, and the whole house feels fresher and lighter. Our 175 sq. meter house takes about 50 minutes to vacuum and usually drops her battery down to about 35% so she doesn't need to recharge during her cycle. I run her on strong, as opposed to turbo (max) suction or normal which is her default mode. I'm sure I could save some battery by getting her to run on silent during the night clean, but she doesn't disturb us in the slightest.

I haven't yet had to rep[lace the dust hopper bag as its not even half full yet, but I will swap it out as soon as the handy app lets me know it requires replacement. I also haven't had to test the mop head yet, but will try it at some point. The simple UI means its is really intuitive to use her to quickly clean up the kitchen floor after the kids and I have been playing the Swedish Chef from the Muppets and turned the floor into a field of flour and chopped herbs.

All in all, the mop and dock have been a hugely positive revelation. The only con would be her occasional loss of signal and having her wander off into an unmapped part of the house. its happened in under 10% of the cleaning cycles and reconnection has been a breeze so no problems at all.

Pros:

- Detects height of objects well, we have a chair and sofa that it can just get under, but it goes for it no problem
- When it goes around objects, it does a good job of butting up against them and cleaning the border of them
- Detects larger objects and avoids them well
- Schedule works well, we ask it to do the non-sleeping areas overnight
- Cost for similar vacuums (particularly on sale) compares really well
- Accessories/replacement parts are readily available

Cons:
- Can be a bit clumsy, doesn't detect smaller objects very well (like dog toys, kids barbie dolls, etc), butts into stuff quite hard sometimes and doesn't do a good job at all at avoiding cables/cords (often gets tangled if we don't remember to put them away).
- Sometimes it will take a weirdly circuitous route to get around an object - e.g. if there is a chair in its way, but a path for it to go to the side and around, it might instead reverse, go around the entire width of the room, and come out in front instead.
- Alexa integration is all or nothing - we had hoped you could say "Alexa, vacuum the living room", but the only option is to turn it "on" which is the whole house.
- Auto-dock gets blocked once every few weeks and is a bit fiddly to get it recognising that it's unblocked. It can often be a process of tracing the whole vacuum system to see where a blockage might be, and includes taking stuff apart.
- Filter required changing in about half the suggested time in the app. It seemed like a simple swap, but the vacuum didn't recognise the new filter was in there which took a lot of fiddling and knocking in to get it seated just right.
- App can be quite confusing, fiddly to set rooms up (thankfully just need to do this once).
- Wish it was a little smarter, for example if the battery gets to 15% and it's cleaned nearly the entire house, it wants to return to the dock and charge back to 100% before resuming. I would've liked it to try and resume at 50% or so to just complete the job, and then charge fully afterwards - I often intervene to cancel the job and kick it back off on the remaining areas. Would've also liked it to suggest rooms in bigger areas, i.e. if it goes from carpet to hard floor.

Misc:
- Can't comment on the mop attachment as we've not used it - in our experience, it's been just as easy to get a normal mop out to do any mopping, than to fiddle with the vacuum to get it ready to do it. I can imagine in homes with larger hard floor areas that this might be more useful.

Summary: in spite of some minor niggles, we're really happy with this purchase. It takes a big load off our shoulders having to vacuum regularly (short-haired dog and 3 messy/young kids), and does a particularly good job on the carpet. You do need to clean the brushes relatively regularly, but I'm sure this is the case with most vacuums. We're happy with it.
