I have since apologised personally to my robo-vac, she has cemented herself as one of the key members of the family, leapfrogging the two fluffy-nothing long haired cats, both of which have accepted "iVac" as the noisy 3rd cat (they just dont care about it anymore).

Pros:
1. Picks up ALOT of dust and hair from the floors, no longer do you get the dusty/dirty feeling on the hardwood floors

2. The app has a really good interface and simple to muck around with.

Cons:
1. The "mop" function is a bit "meh" more like a wet duster. If you want it to really deep clean either a more expensive model may work or a good ol' mop n bucket would be better.

2. Can sometimes get stuck on tough edges or corners, but it's usually clever enough to sort it out. Depends on its approach to cleaning during the scan - you can set no go zones or "invisible walls" which help.

Summary: absolutely zero regret guilty purchase.

My first vacuum cleaner robot and I'm sold on them. It did a good job of mapping the house, and seems to handle a daily vacuum clean pretty well.

The kids have left home so we needed something to take up the vacuuming slack for us!
Some of the brands seemed to be a bit on the expensive side, so we decided to look into Xiaomi after being impressed with their security camera line-up.
This even uses the same app to manage the robo vac, which is great.

Multiple cleaning modes, automatic room mapping, scheduled cleaning, and lots of other features.

No need to worry about charging - it automatically goes back to the charging point whenever it's low on power and then continues its job after recharging.
The only thing it's missing is the automatic emptying function that's in the more expensive models, but occasionally having to manually empty it isn't much of a problem.
