Sennheiser HD 600 Wired Over-Ear Audiophile Reference Headphones - Black

I've always enjoyed Sennheiser products, having owned many and none of them can hold of to these.

Pros:
- Fantastic clarity, I've heard instruments I wasn't even aware were part of the songs I've listen to for years.
- Amazing vocal performance, mids are the cleanest I've ever heard.
- Bass isn't punchy but is clear enough that even in low volumes you can hear a full range.
- Super light, I have worn them for 18h sessions with no discomfort at all they don't hurt to wear at all.
- Fully repairable, you can buy any replacement part for this headphone at all, they will last for many many years.

- When paired with a good headphone amp, without experiencing a good set of cans; it's like rediscovering you favorite songs again.

Cons:
- Almost no Sub-Bass response, but that's expected due to being open backs.
- The default cable can be a bit flimsy.
- The lack of punchy bass makes some genres a bit flat.
- Without a proper amp to drive these, they are very quiet due to the impedance and will not suit phones or some onboard soundcards very well.

Build quality is fantastic and the sound is arguably the best I have heard, the Storeperson helped price match with a different store which was handled quick and easy.

Long Cable (can be a negative also because it’s very long, but it can be paired with shorter cables if needed)

That reputation has been well deserved! Got these as I have been looking to up my game in recording/mixing. The special was too good to ignore! The sound is just present but not like normal headphones or speakers it is like you are just hearing normal sounds/music with your own ears being there could be the experession. These are by far the best headphones I have tried and owned. While there is less bass than your traditional headphones used to achieve more balance between the mid-range and treble-range. The HD600s make up for it in the large and wide sound stage that these headphones create. Because of the focus on balance, I was able to easily spot sounds and even instruments that I couldn't even hear in other headphones. However, you do need an AV receiver or DAC that can properly power the 300-ohms. I use a Denon 5.2 AV receiver since I also run a 5.1 speaker step-up which works great. The build quality of these headphones is almost all metal which means it's built to last. These headphones are tried and true because they've been around since the 90s with plenty of the 90s releases still working fine to this day. My WH-1000XM3 which are mostly plastic have begun to crumble and break with age, this is after 5 years. With proper handling and care, I expect these headphones to last for at least a decade. All of these factors come together to create an incredibly robust and great pair of headphones that's guaranteed to last.

These headphones are perfect. Great sound quality which is pretty much a given with these but also they are large enough to sit over my ears and also not knock my ear piercings so I would say good if you've got larger ears and / or ear piercings.
