CHERRY KC 1000 Silent Keyboard

If you're looking to avoid the clickety-clack of a keyboard, avoid this one. I bought it so I could type during conference calls, but I have to put myself on mute or all anyone hears is the noise like a typewriter. Somewhere between a full mechanical keyboard and a laptop keyboard, silent it is not.
As a keyboard it's fine. I've had mine for two years and no problems. I like that it's wired so I don't need a battery.

I love the shape of the keys, very easy to type on.
Definitely not silent though. Silent means no sound. Certainly a "dulled" tapping noise compared to my last keyboard though. I love the shape of the keys, very easy to type on.

Very good keyboard from a reputable manufacturer. However, the "silent" part isn't quite correct... not sure what I was expecting. I'm sure it's much quieter than mechanical 'clicky' keys though of course - but yeah, not really silent. Plenty of mid and high reverberation from the keys if everything in the house is silent, especially at night. We have got wooden floor though. That aside, for $20-30 this is a very good deal, so I can't complain really :D Very good keyboard from a reputable manufacturer.
