Logitech G915 TKL LIGHTSYNC Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

I'm not a gamer, I code, so YMMV: This keyboard has a lot too like. It's solidly built, has nice keys, more colours than you need, media functions built in, a nice dedicated volume roller and it's a good size. It's a keyboard and it nails the basics: it types well. However, at this price point, it's gotta exel in every area and it just doesn't. There are too many niggles to justify the cost. But then, I'm not sure what other keyboard to get, there are few options for non-gamers in this space.

- the built in battery doesn't last that long (I haven't tested because I use the cable mostly, but think more like a week not like 6 months)

Small issues:
- there are screws in the top deck, they're sort of hidden under the keys but you can see them
- the media keys feel cheap and have poor feedback
- the botton of the deck is pretty average-feeling plastic
- the backlight software is finicky and I can't always get it to do what I want
- the keys have a little wobble

Massive annoyances, esp at this price:
- it doesn't work with Logitech's Unified Receiver which means you have to use the new LIGHTSPEED dongle or the cable, which
- IS MICRO UBS. Seriously, 2020 and Logitech is shipping their flagship keyboard with micro-USB? What is happening here?

I have mechs in all form factors, and a custom board, so I was a little unsure whether I would even use this one. That plus the high price made me hesitate, however as soon as I typed on this for the first time I knew it was the right choice to pick one up. Tactile sounds and feels great, the low profile is a game changer. If you do a lot of typing or coding, but also dont just want a mushy flatboard, this is the way to go. Feels great in game too, low travel distance makes everything easy, plus no need for a wrist rest because its so low.

As someone that enjoys chiclet style keyboards, this has the best of both worlds of having a low profile but with the tactile feeling of a mechanical switch.The Lightspeed connectivity feels like there has close to zero latency. It's such a pleasure to type on, so much so that I take it with me into the office (and since it's so lightweight due to it being a TKL) because just using for gaming only felt like such a waste of this keyboards potential. It's not cheap, but I needed a wireless TKL mechanical keyboard, ideally low profile, and it NEEDED to have RF/USB based wireless as well as bluetooth as I use a KVM switch for multiple PCs, which really only left this one.

The typing experience is great, and the keycaps (while non-standard) are common enough that they can be replaced at very little expense (or customised in my case)

The build quality of the product is very high and no board flex. The top and bottom is completely flat (though top has a extruding button) and the left and right is smoothly rounded. Aesthetics wise, I find no issues and it is very clean though I can see tiny screw heads between the keys if I focused hard enough. However I have found a tiny amountof horizontal sliding movement in the volume slider when it should only be vertical. The experience with the volume slider has no noticable delay using the usb receiver, but there is some when using bluetooth, and the sensitivity is perfect and does not continue sliding when let go which makes it...view more The build quality of the product is very high and no board flex. The media keys and controls have custom RGB despite some previous reviews claiming they were stuck as yellow, so some software update has fixed that which is great. The keys can get dirty normally, so there is no special coating and there is a lot of wobble room, so much so that when you shake the keyboard, keys rattle like a container of tictacs. This gives a lot of freedom to slightly move the keys around when typing and aren't that noticable, but are there if you want keys to be 100% stable. Even when pressed down, they can move in all axises by 1-2mm. Still, they are smooth to press and no accidental presses, although it gives a feeling of weakness to the keys. The keycaps are made of plastic which does not match the premium build, but aren't that noticable.

G-Hub software worked and was simple to use, no issues though creating custom patterns can be hard. The micro-usb cable used to charge worked, but again it's not the best and micro-usb has a chance of breaking though it's fine for now. Battery life is great, lasting weeks and the lights dim when not used. Connectivity was fast and simple with the usb receiver, and bluetooth worked intuitively with my phone. Despite the keycap downsides, they weren't any issue for me.

Love that there's a wide range of light settings and can sync with my mouse and headphones thru the GHUB program. Gorgeous sleek design, makes my desk feel so tidy and extremely impressive battery life when the lights are down. When I play Fortnite the game automatically interacts with the RGB and changes colours based on gameplay. Only drawback is that it uses micro USB for charging rather than USB-C like the headphones and mouse I got so it's a bit annoying to have to use a separate cable. This Keyboard is a joy to use. Muted keyclicks and a solid feel give this very thin keyboard the feeling of quality.

Been using this keyboard for a few weeks. Sturdy and a good weight, and keys are a good balance between clicky and smooth. I'm using it for gaming on a TV and it works well with my setup.

Bought this with promises of a great typing experience. Have been using it for around 2-3 months and tbh for the price its just meh. Its fine for gaming and the RGB is quite nice, the media control buttons are fine as well as the volume wheel, but the switches sounds pretty yuck with a couple springs sound kinda pingy. I would love to see some lube on the switches, and USB C instead of freaking micro-usb. Bought this with promises of a great typing experience. the full-size model is probably a better buy in retrospect, it isn't that much more expensive, but will have a significantly larger battery and the programmable keys are better.
