Couldn't get it working slingshot, even after calls to slingshot and dlink. Firmware is dated 2017 and no updates since. Purchased D-Link DSL 3890 as a replacement for older (2013) Netgear Nighthawk (D7000)
Initially purchased a Nighthawk D7000 v2 (to replace the older 2013 model) and was very disappointed with the connection. Returned the Nighthawk and purchased the D-Link. No problems at all and have not been disappointed with the connectivity. Have been using it for over a month with no issues so far.

Great Modem/Router very easy to set up. It has superb coverage of all 3 floors of split level home on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Speed is improvement over previous setup using Draytek V130. Setup wizard needs a patch for connecting to fibre network, as of the moment as most of the details must be input manually for fibre to connect.
I believe connecting to broadband should be fine with the current setup wizard so I guess that's a plus.

Should have read the reviews online of this product .. it would not connect to my ISP despite over 2 hours on the phone to them .... i see from other views this is not an issue that only i have had - would not recommend this model to anyone.
I returned it and obtained a more modern Router (D-Link EXO DIR-X3260 G) for the same money that worked first time and within seconds.

The one majorly frustrating part about this modem is the the backend software doesn't allow you to shut off particular users, as I could with the Huawei from Spark. This one feature was my lifesaver with the kids and now I have to physically check all devices are away so I can stay up later than them and not be blocked.
The internet is much more stable than the last modem but it does take longer to start up and without the parental feature I would not buy again. Replaced my 5 year old Slingshot modem/router. Very easy to set up and connect. Gave me an option during setup to choose what my provider was and did most of the work for me. Was a bit confused with the smart connect feature (having it on hides the 2.4GHz and 5GHz settings) but everything else seems fine. Replaced my 5 year old Slingshot modem/router.
