LG 27UP600-W 27" 4K UHD Business Monitor

This monitor works well with my Macair. At first, I didn't think it was bright enough (even though it has the highest nits in its class) but it was excellent when I reset the colour scheme of the monitor to Apple RGB. I have two of these setup in a dual configuration, and they're perfect for the desk size as I normally sit relatively close to the monitors (30-50cm). I do a fair amount of FE design and the color reproduction is great, with the sharpness and definition needed for detailed work. I have bought two of these and both have had a very good image and colour. The only thing with these monitors, is like alot of other monitors that aren't designed like a TV, the controls to change the contrast, screen size etc are done by moving a small button up and down.. rather than directional buttons. You don't find many 4K monitors of this size from a reputable brand like LG at this price point, and the monitor is quite excellent, especially so given said price. The one thing I do wish though was that it was brighter. Even at max brightness I find it a bit less than what I would want. Additionally, though this point is more of a personal preference than a flaw in the monitor, is that I wish it had a glossy screen rather than being matte. But that latter point could be my preference for Apple screens speaking mind you. I am a developer and have been using three 25" widescreens, which fitted perfectly on my desk. When one stopped working, I looked for a replacement, but was unable to find another 25" and the larger widescreens would not fit my workspace. The LG 27UP600-W 27" is about the same width as my old 25" widescreen, so fits nicely and, being 4K, provides even more screen space, so win/win. I have it connected to my Dell Latitude 7320 Flip laptop via a Dell WD19TBS Thunderbolt 3 Dual 4K Docking Station, along with two LG 25" widescreens (2560x1080). I can't comment on gaming or movies as I don't use it for that, but it is perfect for dev work. To give an idea of screen space it offers, I have the maginification set to 125% and can easily fit 4 browser windows on it (up to 6 at a pinch) and everything is comfortably readable. In my configuration, the monitor is angled toward glass doors, but I don't have a problem with glare or reflections and everything is very crisp. It is perfact for my needs and the price was great too. I would certainly buy the same monitor, if another of my widescreens needs replacing.

The monitor itself is amazing. Great resolution and colour, especially for the price. The only caveat is that to get 60FPS @4k (instead of a jittery 30FSP @4k), I needed to buy an additional lighting-to-display cable for my 2018 Mac, but that solved the problem perfectly.
