LG 27UP600-W 27" 4K UHD Business Monitor

The monitor is being used 100% for Digital Illustration. and This is night and day from my old 1920 x 1080 with an sRGB 75%. I have been struggling with my designs often going dark because of inaccuracy. But With the new monitor, my work adjusted better through different devices and screens.

The price has been great for it too as a lot of Graphic Monitors are super expensive and only a few could reach a range that can be super color accurate.

This is all digital only. Have not attempted on print yet.

I purchased this monitor to use with a Macbook Pro for working from home. I'm using it with a 2019 Macbook Pro 16 and a HP G2 Thunderbolt dock.

No issues with the monitor itself, but found that having both an Apple LG Ultrafine 4K monitor over USB-C and this one on the docking station together would cause hard crashes with the graphics card.

The solution was to use a USB-C to Displayport converter direct from the laptop to the monitor without the docking station. Also has the benefit of enabling hardwire brightness control (via a 3rd party app.)

So, once all of this was sorted out, the monitor itself is good. Running 2560x1440 hidpi mode on MacOS looks good. Brightness similar to the mac internal screen. Not quite as bright as the Apple/LG Ultrafine 4K. All in all a much less expensive alternative to the Apple/LG 5K 27" monitor. 1/2 the price but you just have to put up with a few minor compatibility issues.

I took his advice and purchased this LG Monitor that cost a little more than my original budget, but definitely worth it. The resolution appears better than my laptop screen. This is a very good screen for my architecture business, using CAD and animation/rendering software via gaming PC's of course. Excellent price and easy to install. Bought on sale and well worth the price - mainly bought it for the 4K feature but glad I went with this more expensive monitor instead of a cheaper one because of the amazing colours and modes you get, my favourite mode being Reader which gets rid of blue light and lowers contrast to make it super comfortable on your eyes, and second favourite mode being Cinema, for great colours and contrast on movies.

It's also great having the choice of HDMI and Display port, my PC GPU only has 1 HDMI and 1 DP, so this means I can keep using my older HDMI monitor as a secondary while this monitor uses Displayport.

The quality of this screen is excellent as is the managing of settings to customize your viewing experience. I have to of them mounted vertically and it's a pleasure to use them on a daily basis. For a most reasonable price, this monitor has completely transformed my experience using the MacBook. I had been missing my previous Mac 27" desktop machine's ample screen real estate, and now I no longer need to resize or rearrange the windows I use most: Finder and Terminal, Mail, and Firefox. Good monitor. While the colours look great and there are further options to optimise the display, two things are annoying - the material used for the stand and bottom of the screen feel cheap and nasty, and the lack of out of the box eye comfort mode. This monitor works well with my Macair. At first, I didn't think it was bright enough (even though it has the highest nits in its class) but it was excellent when I reset the colour scheme of the monitor to Apple RGB. I use it as the primary screen with the 13" Macair screen as auxiliary. This monitor works well with my Macair. I have two of these setup in a dual configuration, and they're perfect for the desk size as I normally sit relatively close to the monitors (30-50cm). I do a fair amount of FE design and the color reproduction is great, with the sharpness and definition needed for detailed work.
