LG 40WP95C-W 40" 5K2k Curved Ultrawide Monitor

I've had this monitor for over a week now and purchased it off a YouTube review I watched. I connected this screen to my MacBook Air and it's doing a phenomenal job of being the main display. The 5K slightly curved screen is great for the eyes, and I no longer need two expensive 5K screens. This one screen is all you need, with the bonus of no annoying gaps. As a UX and graphic designer, I can have my entire work flow open on one screen, including chats, emails, wireframes, programs and tool panels. However, you can adjust the resolution to be bigger (ie 4K), but the quality will downgrade a touch as you make the resolution lower. The screen itself powers your MacBook, so you don't need the charge cord which I find to be a huge bonus since the MacBooks only have 2 Thunderbolt ports, and the monitor also has its own incredible speaker system in it. For those who buy a separate speaker for good sound during calls or for basic music, you won't need to as this is superb. If you're a bass lover, you'd still want to get yourself a bar or sub, however I find the sound quality is phenomenal for a monitor. Multiple thunderbolt hubs means you can daisy chain more thunderbolt screens if you need more space. I'd recommend this for designers, video editors, 3d modelling, etc. My Mac Studio is arriving soon, and will just plug it in to that. The price was also a huge factor – I was looking at upwards of $2000+ per 27"/30" 5K screen (I only need two), but instead I was able to pay far less for just one stunning 5K screen. You won't regret it. One of my favourite features is the stand/base that comes with this monitor. It's a slimline curved piece, silver and subtle. Some monitors come with huge, clunky bases, leaving no room on your desk, but the scythe-like curve of this one leaves plenty of room for things you may still require to sit on your desk. Lastly, I am currently sitting only half a metre from the screen, and my desk is 1202W x 602D – meaning you don't need a massive desk just for this one screen.

Great monitor and simple to use and setup. Took a while to realise it could go up and down in height which made all the difference, and using the thunderbolt connection vs HDMI solved the initial issue of being limited to a 30Hz refresh rate. Worked fine after that - running off a new M3 Macbook pro. Really happy with it. Great monitor and simple to use and setup. Bought this screen to replace my old pair of missmatched screens which were great.... at the time. But once I got this new screen connected and turned on; WOW! Brilliant ;) and so much clearer than my dull old screens. Well, worth the upgrade price and they have speakers built in as well :) Had to update all my wallpapers to suit the new high resolution as the old ones just did not cut it anymore. I originally purchased the cheaper LG 38” UltraWide display (38WN95C-W) which was a terrible experience using a Mac (Mac Studio). My eyes felt like they had grit in them when I worked at the computer for too long due to not enough pixels across the large screen area.

I decided to bit the bullet and purchase this more expensive model and the difference is night and day. It is extremely clear, and very pleasant to work at for long periods of time.
