Samsung C49RG90 49" Super Ultrawide Dual QHD 120Hz Curved Gaming Monitor

I got this on birthday weekend.

The pros, it is HUGE. Love it. plugged in both hdmi AND dp cables and had a 2 screen experience on one screen. PBP
Then I changed to the ultra wide experience.
Then I played Starship Troopers on the wide screen, I had to max our my fov
I did some coding. I downliaded powertoys to snap windows into frames. without something like that it is a problem.

The cons. At 5120x1440 my puny Nvidia 3060 cany handle it, i had to scale down resolution for it to be above 30fps. Nothing wrong with the monitor, purely my setup.

It's Massive! When I first unpacked this monitor and plugged it in.. my mind was officially blown! I had a 40in flat before this, which really wasn't the best, but the curve makes this practical. I was looking at paying almost $4k for a 34in curved gaming monitor so this was a pleasant surprise at half the price! I would certainly recommend it if you are in need of a surround monitor or if, like me, you need to have two computer screens, from different computers, available at the same same.. the Picture in Picture works a treat! I did a lot of research before buying this monitor--considering the price. This monitor is worth every cent. It is a little overwhelming at first: the size and space--pretty huge. Truly a great purchase, no more having to work between multiple screens and cords and HDMI cables, etc - I can have multiple documents open at one time and visible on one screen - has made such a difference to my work from home set up and efficiency and I only wish I had purchased it sooner. Absolutely stunning masterpiece . I have replaced three screens with this single screen . It’s compatible with older pcs - takes a bit of work to get the screen split but with the right software it’s a doddle . Absolutely stunning masterpiece . Was not sure if I was doing the right thing here getting a ultra wide, but now after a few weeks use I am glad I did.
The dual screen functionality is handy for older laptops and I soon discovered you can also dumb down the HDMI port to v1.4 which also helps with older laptops that lower lower graphics capabilities. Great monitor if you want to future proof yourself for a number of years. Recommended. Having run a Dual Screen setup for some time changing to this seems to provide even more real estate without the pesky bezels in the middle of your workspace. The image quality and resolution are all excellent on this monitor. Don't underestimate how much space you need for this monitor! This is one huge monitor and looks fantastic. Big is definitely good. Plugged iit nto my work laptop and did the windows key + p to choose to span screen accross laptop and this monitor so I could open all the programs i needed on the big monitor to do my work. I thought i might need a docking station but thankfully i don't.

Downside is I need to upgrade my destop PC now to take full advantage of the screen size if i want to play games. This is one huge monitor and looks fantastic. Big is definitely good. Plugged iit nto my work laptop and did the windows key + p to choose to span screen accross laptop and this monitor so I could open all the programs i needed on the big monitor to do my work. Found this to be an excellent monitor - though, laptop graphics card cannot handle full 5120p res. Therefore set to a lower res and not getting full benefit. That is the laptops issue and not the monitor. I went for this rather than keeping the two 24" monitors as having so many appications open, jumping between monitors was annoying. On this one, you can have three apps open side by side, and far better productivity.

Consider your needs - as this is same area as 2 x 24" monitors but currently 6 x the cost.
