Really is a brilliant monitor, however from day 1 I have had 2 issues which have resulted in a Technician from a Samsung agent coming out to my house to witness, and has just been approved for an RMA - but pending official word. 1st is when in Dynamic Contrast, and the display goes to sleep, it does not wake up. 2nd is just left of centre, I get a flashing bar about 30mm wide, up the whole screen. Terrible Local Dimming, constantly makes your screen flicker and there aren't many zones to begin with. HDR on it is mediocre and It is hella expensive and mounting is super difficult and limited. Upgrading firmware and Samsung's support on this monitor are clunky.

If you are willing to pay this much for a monitor, like me, then surely you know all the best things about this monitor. Other than all the issues I listed above. It just doesn't compromise on anything. I don't need to list why this monitor is good. It's on the specification tab.

Brought this a fortnight ago and it's just great. Probably a bit of an overkill for office work, but it's just great. Paired with a 27" that is relegated to Teams/Outlook/Youtube.
It's just so much nicer and easier to use than two 27". I thought the curvature might be excessive at 1000R but it's really comfortable on the eyes.

I find the inputs are awkward to access.

Finally decided to take the plunge and got this monitor.

Seems all the issues since release has been fixed. My unit has no flicker issues, no bleeding light or cracks from bezels.

Checked and the latest firmware was already flashed on the monitor by manufacturer.

Pros:
Large 49" screen
Great brightness
Curve although seemed too much on initial glance is actually pretty cool, got used to it within minutes
Productivity increases
Colors and overall feel, great for VA panel. Impressive for VA.

Otherwise, amazing buy. Worth every cent. Wish prices were still cheaper but is the best ultra wide screen on the market. Had upgraded from 34" ultra wide, won't be able to downsize any longer, 34 inches seem so tiny now.

Runs fine with my Pulse Sapphire 5700XT. Won't be getting 240fps on AAA titles but will a 3XXX even run it? Not sure, will wait and test this when miners/scalpers stop this funny business but am happy for the short spurts of games I play on my current medium rig (3600,16GB, 5700XT).

My recommendation, get it, you won't regret it.

I 've had reservations of buying this monitor due to the defects reported overseas but decided to buy it as there's no other monitor out there with these specs. I've been using the monitor for about a month now and is free of any defects/problems (knock on wood). The display resolution, immersion, and productivity gains from having a 32:9 is simply the way forward. This is the monitor to have! I'm using the monitor now for nearly a month time. It's a great product. I mostly use a dual-screen setup with PIP/PBP mode with a resolution of 1560x1440. PBTech gives nice deals every time. So happy with the purchase.
