Purchased this to replace x2 monitors as I didn't have space in my current setup. The difference between this and the N34WQ is that this version (N34HQW) supports HDR, however, it is still an 8 bit panel and not a 10 bit panel so it's not true HDR.
Mine had 1 dead pixel on arrival, however being 3440x1440 you can't really tell.
The stand is narrow which is good, as you can push it back against the wall and still have space for cables and items between your keyboard and screen (likewise you can pull the monitor right up to your keyboard/steering wheel)
I need to have home PC and work laptop plugged in at the same time (both DisplayP...view more
I was a bit apprehensive initially. This monitor is priced several hundred dollars below other monitors with the same specs. But I've been very pleasantly surprised.
Good colors, and refresh rate of 144hz is amazing. I upgraded from a standard 1440p monitor, and there is simply no going back.
The stand is decent but doesn't offer a lot of adjustment, so for those with limited space or want lots of adjustment, I'd recommend a VESA mount for this monitor.
OSD controls are straightforward with no flashy stuff.
No dead/bright pixels either.
Very minimal light bleed, only visible in the dark. And speaking of dark, the blacks are a...view more
I've gone from a 4K 60hz HDR LG monitor to this monitor and to be completely honest this is a very very good monitor and big bang for buck fresh rate is amazing the colours pop and the ultrawide gaming is absolutely incredible with a very immersive display if you're playing games like call of duty any racing game the screen will be the difference maker the next model down is not Samsung q LED display spend the extra $100 and get this model as you will find the colours are much better I highly recommend this monitor for gaming as it is good value for money
whilst i'm happy with my purchase there was some stuff i wish i had known before hand.
Afaik these are panels that didn't pass Samsung QC with means they aren't Samsung quality panels, but that doesn't mean they're bad.
This one however has some god awful ghosting on both models i received (first had a defect line in the middle of the screen) so expect some bad ghosting between high and low contrast changes.
The colors on this namely red, pink, purple, seem to be very blurry and hard to read at times. i would not recommend this for any professional workloads but for gaming is perfectly fine.
I paid 849 for this monitor on sale and i...view more
To me this was an expensive screen, and it replaced a slightly different one of the same brand because that one had backlight bleed (light all round the edges when screen black). This one was even worse! I basically can't be bothered returning it because I expect next one to bleed as well...forums sound like this is common for this kind of curved screen and maybe just have to turn brightness right down and put up with it.
Great price, great quality, a wide screen has improved my productivity
Bought this as a dual screen desktop replacement. Works well for that. able to adjust screen height really well. running at 100hz on i7 nuc. resolution is high pin sharp. calibrated screen with spyderx barely altered from factory. had to disable hdr as too bright. recommended for productivity. looks to be too big/wide for gaming.
I was a bit hesitant to buy one of these rebranded Samsung panels but when my old monitor carked it and this went on sale the planets aligned . At literally half the price of similar sized ultrawides the value here is insane, mine arrived with no dead pixels and setup was a breeze. Picture quality is excellent and it works well for gaming, as they say once you game at ultrawide you will never go back! Even the vesa mount adapters (although finicky) fit and worked like a charm on my existing mount.
In saying all of that you should still consider a few things. The default picture settings were fairly bad along with the presets found in the ...view more
I got one during lockdown to match the 4k I had at work. This widescreen is great to split into up to 3 screens.
I loved it so much, we got a second one
Great monitor for the price
I bought this monitor for gaming, specifically World of Warcraft. I was pleased with the brightness and colour saturation. Playing WoW is now even more enjoyable, especially when I discovered my GTX1070 would drive the monitor at 120Hz on the same settings I used for my old 1080P monitor at 60Hz
For everyday use be aware that text gets blurry when scrolling. This is partly reduced by setting the refresh rate to 120Hz. Stationary text is very crisp and clear though.
Had a 34" monitor already and bought the Titan Army since I was running out of screen real estate at work. I mainly use it for spreadsheet work and it is brilliant. Resolution is fantastic and set up was easy - no complaints at all about this monitor.
