I purchased the HDMI to USB-C adapter a year ago to connect my laptop to a monitor. The adapter worked well initially, allowing me to extend my laptop display to the monitor with ease. The picture quality was good, and there was no noticeable lag or delay in the display.
However, after a year of use, the adapter suddenly stopped working. The laptop no longer recognized the adapter, and I could not get the monitor to display anything. I tried different cables and devices, but nothing seemed to work.
I was disappointed that the adapter only lasted a year, as I expected it to last longer given its price.

Have bought many of these for the school I work in over the last few months. It seems quite durable. Many people have had issues with the sound playing on the TV when connected to their Macbook Air. Had a strange compatibility issue with this adapter with a slightly older 1920x1200 samsung monitor that only had DVI. I used an adapter to go from HDMI to DVI from this adapter but this adapter wasn't happy with that configuration. I had two of the same monitors, one monitor had the image spilt down the middle and shifted, the other didn't even function. It's worth noting that other usb-c adapters to these screens worked and this adapter worked fine on newer HDMI only screens.

Quite expensive, Still one of the cheapest on PB Tech but see if you can find something cheaper somewhere else especially if you are trying to adapt from HDMI.
