Both units purchased have failed in the first month of ownership and the supporting legs snapped off rendering them unmountable on the vents. Both snapped without being touched or being stressed by rough driving, the joint is just weak and seems to be a very common point of failure in the device.

I generally have a pathological hatred for Samsung's products (glass glass and more glass) but this thing is awesome. Had it for a while now in my ute and done several thousand kms, including across washboard gravel. The holding mechanism works flawlessly with my large and heavy Galaxy Fold which has a bulky rugged case on it to protect said glass. Wireless charging does struggle with the thick case I have but thats a minor inconvenience, and wireless charging is slow anyway. This is a great product. Even did some testing and took some corners a little faster. When the feet are in the right place, it is very sturdy. Removes the need for a stereo upgrade as it leaves your USB-C port open for audio cable

I have owned several types of phone holders. A lot of them start losing their grip to the vent fins after a while. I have used the Samsung charger for 2-3 weeks now. I have found the system in this charger to be really good in terms of stability. It is a bit bulkier than other chargers, but if you own a large phone, you may accept that bulkiness.
My only gripe is that for the price (full price) you would expect to have the 12V adapter to you in your car lighter. If you have a charger with the required output to maximise the use of the 9W in the Samsung, then it should not be a problem for you. I have owned several types of phone holders.
