Amazing

23 May 2019
First thing I want to say is its amazing, also I didn't know if I would've gotten it bcs my graphics card is less than half the recommended for the vr set but all the games I've played its work perfectly, had it for about a month the cord really doesn't get in the way as much as you think it will

Amazing!

16 May 2019
I had never actually tried VR before I bought this, only heard from other people what it was like.

Setup was a bit fiddly but the instructions are good.

Once you're in a game, it's amazing.

amazing

30 April 2019
I wasn't expecting to be this good...
You're really in that world, the light sabers are real and so are the blocks flying towards you.
But it's very expensive and the resolution is not good.

HTC Vive

3 April 2019
I had high expectations before purchasing the HTC Vive and I must say it exceeded them.

Htc defiantly has the best hmd’S in the market.

It is something you must try to truly understand how immersive virtual reality is!

HTC Vive - Pros and Cons.

2 February 2019
I purchased this back in October/November, but I've had extensive experience with it beforehand. I've used it every single day, and love it to bits, but there's a lot of problems too. Below are my Pros and Cons for the Vive.

Pros:

Roomscale VR: While this isn't specific to the Vive, it's the best example of roomscale.
Comfort: The default foam padding that comes with the Vive is fairly uncomfortable, you can order some much nicer leather ones off Amazon. If you need a nose rest, there's one too.

Moddability: While most people will be fine with a base Vive, there are many mods for the Vive. There's a part that blows a fan onto your f...

Great product/hard to set up if renting

24 January 2019
If you cant drill into the wall to mount the base stations i recommend getting some tripods for it. hyperkin do a pair that are really good.
Tracking is nice if you set the base correctly. room scale is fun to play.

haven't tried the oculus rift but i definitely love this one

Review of HTC Vive

21 January 2019
The HTC Vive is a great product and shows that VR is here to stay. On the upside - we have tonnes of immersion, the ability to walk around your room (with the device tracking where is safe by way of a blue / cage like effect), and the ability to move your hands around with the controllers. There aren't as many games as I would like out there, but ones designed just for VR are quite brilliant (for example, beat sabre). There are a few downsides perhaps, the resolution isn't so sharp and the sheer number of wires (plus needing power points for the two base stations) is a bit of a hassle.

Well worth it

3 January 2019
While it does require a VR ready GPU it does run well on most games with my 1050ti (still waiting on the 1070ti) i have had a great time with this. Well worth the money

a almost perfect VR experience

24 December 2018
I had this for 2 week now and oh boi it really good experience
but there are some flaws such as the set up are abit complicate you either have to drill some hole into your wall for the tracking sensor or have to buy a separate mounting base station for the tracking
but after that you dont really need to care about it anymore it just stay there and there are alot of wires involved in this one and you also need alot of outlet as well since each of them need a separate power source
my room is abit small but still playable for this to work
the stock head strap are abit hard to use and it dont really distribute weight that well but I can st...

Customer Questions & Answers

Question:
What other kit is required to make this system work?
Asked by: Dianne on 23 November 2018
Answer:
You'll need a computer to run it. Main thing it needs is a decent video card. Most people seem to go for a nvidia 1060 or higher. Then theres additional things like the upgraded sound strap (which i hear is really worth it) and perhaps some stands for the base station units (they can sit on bookshelves and the like if you have the right layout)
Answered by: Bryan Senior on 25 November 2018
Question:
Does anyone know where you could test the experience?
Asked by: Neo on 12 September 2018
Answer:
A bit of a necro perhaps but in case someone passes by the vrclub 33 Hurstmere road, Takapuna has a htv vive 1 setup, just did with 5 of us, im hooked, now to decide what to invest in
Answered by: jan leget on 25 March 2019
Answer:
Some games were given out as a sort of promotion, which has changed since it was first put out on the market. It also depends on where you buy the headset from also as they may have a different game compared to others.
