Works well with the Unifi system. Would purchase more if needed more capacity. Also looks kinda like a tuning fork so if musical tools is your aesthetic your day just got a whole lot better. Had the older outdoor units at my home for a while, but wasn't happy with the speeds I was getting, especially after getting gigabit fiber.
so got all new ones to upgrade.

Works very well -- I have four of them to provide coverage over the entire house and property. I have one connected to the router and three wirelessly meshed including a multi-hop. I did have some random drops when the uplink was automatically configured, but after configuring the uplinks manually, everything has been rock stable.

The range is low compared to other high-power products with the stock antennas, so I've given it 4 stars, but that hasn't been a problem for my configuration. a tidy little unit great coverage - works well - I personally don't like Java - and if you are using windows then you have no choice the config required java to be installed. As a complete novice, I struggled initially to setup this unit. The cause was that I did not have the Ethernet cables hooked up correctly! You need to make sure that both the Ubiquiti unit and your PC are connected to your switch / modem router via hard line before you attempt to pair with the Ubiquiti device. You cannot setup the access point by hard line connecting to it directly from your PC!

Once I figured this out, setup was super easy, childs play easy and we now have good WiFi access anywhere within 150m of the house, it even punches WiFi through the walls of the house without issue.

I have had this product operating in a MESH for nearly 2 years now and it has given no problems. But I bought it down from the root today to re-deploy it and the antennaes crumbled apart in my hands! UV damage - so the part about "Outdoor rated enclosure for even the harshest environments" is far from true in my experience. Out of warranty of course, but it is still working.... The Unifi AP Mesh has excellent range, and acts as a Base AP for mesh connected AP's.
POE is ideal for outdoor installation too.
Features set is excellent too, so whilst not the cheapest AP available, value for money is very high.

Downside is that it's really a professional product suite, so not the most intuitive to set up. Good support from the Unifi community though.

As always, Ubiquiti offers a fully featured and powerful device but documentation is somewhat lacking.
Support, however is readily available via online chat and once configured it's a hands-off production beast.

Purchased two of these for a cabled mesh wifi system in a large property. Ubiquiti has a unique approach and although it may take the unfamiliar user a little more time to get familiar with the software and setup is it well worth the effort.
