Noticeable heat reduction and comfortable elevation of laptop.
The blue light is really bright though, and you can't turn it off without unplugging the device itself.
Not dead-silent - Can be a bit of a hum in the background but the fan is adjustable.

The cooling pad itself was a lot bigger than i had thought it would be, nothing wrong with that. But the fan is weaker than i expected, and it is quite loud. Not much of a problem for me but the emphasized 'silent fan' isn't as quiet as you would expect. The different heights are very useful. The fan is not as strong as I would like for heavy duty laptop use (gaming/editing) but works as a casual cooler. The different heights are very useful. I recently had to replace a faulty Ergostand III. The Mk IV is not a patch on the the Mk III!

It is noisier (21dBA cf. 29dBA), it does not have an adjustable power capability - it's either on or off, it doesn't have a removable mesh screen (to clean dust from fan blades), and it fails to keep laptops as cool.

Good build and tidy. Love the different heights, do a lot of study laying in bed. The different heights give you a usable angle with the keyboard. You can change the speed of the fan too. Gives you more usb which are at the back, i would preferred them on the side.
