Nice to find a dock that can run 2 screens and Network off a USB2 port. I did however decide to run the wireless mouse and keyboard directly from the laptop as too much data going down the one cable seemed to slow the mouse down. This mini hub seemed a great idea, with a superb range of ports: USB/VGA/HDMI/ethernet. After purchase I was excited as I'd needed this solution. Unfortunately this one completely failed for reasons I wasn't expecting and I was advised not to use it but to plug USBs into the laptop (the problem I was trying to solve). You can't connect wireless or wired devices to this if the device is not within a specific GHz range. Here is what the manufacturer said:

Whenever a USB 3.0 device, such as an external hard disk drive, USB flash drive, etc., is connected to a USB 3.0 port, there will be radio frequencies radiating from the USB 3.0 connection. These frequencies will potentially limit the sensitivity of wireless receivers close to the USB connection. For instance, the frequencies radiating from the USB 3.0 connection may be causing interference with other nearby radio frequencies within the 2.4 GHz band and may be preventing wireless devices from working well. Devices such as low-power wireless antennas, mice, keyboards, and Bluetooth, which are operating within the 2.4GHz range, may be affected.

We recommend that any nearby wireless devices, such as wireless mice, keyboards, Wi-Fi adapters, etc. are plugged into a USB port directly on the computer, placed across from other USB 3.0 devices, if possible. Alternatively, we recommend that you use wireless devices which operate within the 5GHz range, as they will not encounter as much radio frequency interference with USB 3.0.

We had heaps of problems getting reliable operation at first, but contacted J5 support who were fantastic. Several e-mails that they answered promptly and sent new drivers.
