Was an excellent deal for the price I paid, it almost doubled in price after the sale ended so I feel like I got a very good deal. My son, whom it is for, I bought it for his Birthday, has been gaming for years on a multitude of different gaming machines, he says the Victus is up there with the best. All in all we are extremely happy with our purchase and my son has a smile from ear to ear. We haven't had it long but long enough to know it is everything we expected it to be. The service from PB's was flawless as usual. Delivery was very fast and package was well presented when handed to me. If you are not fussy it's a 10/10, if you are fussy it'll probably be more an 8/10 which is still great. We rate it a 10/10. The fan noise, screen flex and port layout are all things you can research before buying so I don't quite know why the other reviewers have mentioned them negatively, they knew those things before purchasing. Replacing both an old 3rd gen laptop and 7th gen desktop with a GTX 1650, my Victus (connected to a USB dock and 21:9 display) meets my desktop and mobile requirements and out-performs all my previous setups. For the price I paid and saved, I've maxxed out the RAM (2x 16GB), slapped in a gen4 2TB SSD, all up spending significantly less than the RRP for what is now a pretty powerful machine.

I thought I've researched enough, however digging (very) deep in the interwebs there are some US forums that complain about fan 'whistling' on the Victus 15 models, regardless of CPU and spec. Some reviewers say it's capacitor whine, but I can confirm it is definitely poor fan-blade / aero design - sound is not existent when the bottom cover is removed. The whistling is quiet, but is higher-pitch and always there whenever the fan spins even at the lowest speed (and stops when the fan stops during low-load scenarios). Rubbed my OCD something almighty but I'm getting used to it now. At least the system stays surprisingly cool at high load. All in all, after a week of usage ranging from office-work to some moderate gaming, this is a surprisingly good bang-for-buck machine, when on sale at least.

I bought it to play games and for school. The design is nice and the laptop runs very well. I get about 140 to 200 fps in valorant. my only issue is the fan noises, its very loud while gaming. The battery life is crappy at 2.5 hours. The touchpad is crappy too. I use it plugged into the wall socket and set the sensitivity on the touchpad down. I bought this on sale because I was too cheap to buy at regular price. Am I happy, not really. Am I satisfied, yes. It does what I need it to do. Bought this laptop to use for editing 4k footage and it has been really good for the price, mostly no lag (unless you've got some heave layering or graphics). All the ram is really useful for Adobe application, since adobe shallows ram lol. Solid laptop for beginner creators, recommend.
