The first thing I did was update to a 2TB Samsung 990 pro as the 500gb just isn't enough for me and used the 500 as a spare drive as there are 2 slots.
To undo the screws to remove the cover for the SSD, I'm sure they were tightened via an impact wrench, what a mission!!!!!!!!!! If you are not confident in laptop upgrading get the guys to do it for you.
And that's my only complaint, apart from that for the price I paid on special it's a lot of laptop, latest processor, ram and the SSD you get with it is a decent Samsung one.

The specs on this computer are great for the money, but the case finish is a bit average. It gets heaps of finger prints on it and looks a bit grubby kind of quickly.
I did like how the case aesthetic was not that of a typical gaming computer (not ugly and unnecessary ornamentation and colours), yet it still shed its heat like a gaming computer so performs well under load.

This laptop is extremely powerful and will run all the software I need to with ease. Screen is a bit dull sometimes in certain lighting. But other than that. While this doesn't have the gaudy RGB lighting and overtly "gaming" look and feel common in this market segment, it well and truly makes up for it under the hood with the only (at time of writing) 14th gen i7 with an 8GB 4060 and 144Hz panel in this price bracket (on sale).

Performance-wise, it has more than coped with everything I've thrown at it, both in productivity and entertainment.

The simple white backlit keyboard is functional and doesn't distract from the on-screen action. Screen is crisp and clear at 1080p and big enough for my eyesight.

The Victus line has a reputation for heat issues but I've had no problems so far. I do have a basic Rivacase cooling pad just in case.

It could probably do with more ram (it is upgradeable to 32GB) and there is also a second slot for another PCIe4 drive to expand the internal SSD storage.

Got this computer to use for coding and gaming. Haven't had problems with it and flawlessly runs most of the current popular games.
