I have just been told this system only works through fibre (by a salesman) . Is that true? I have a VDSL Spark modem (fibre hasn't gotten to us yet) - i was hoping this mesh system would be compatible. Cheers

If your Spark modem has router functionality, it will need to be able to be configured to work in bridged mode (or pass through mode). This will essentially 'turn off' the router functionality, meaning that you would plug the master Google Wifi node into a LAN port on the modem/router. I have configured an Apple Airport Extreme in a similar way: Used the internet provider sourced combined modem/router as a modem only by enabling bridged mode and disabling the wireless access point, using the Airport Extreme as the Router and Wireless Access Point instead. The tech desk at PB Tech should be able to help you out with this.
