Xiaomi Mi Home (AX3000) WiFi 6 Mesh System - 2 Pack

Took a wee bit of time and effort to set up on 2degrees, but the salesperson did tell us what we needed and printed out the relevant parts of the guide on here so we could access when we didn’t have the internet! Simple enough to set up with a bit of patience and the right information. Not a “plug and play” set up. Working well with two bands - one for smart home products, other for general use/gaming. Had an issue after a power outage, but just turned it off and back on and working well again. Quick to set up, high network speed. The trouble was the lack of parental control options, since I am the father of a child without a self-control option, which is why I had to return it. So easy to set up and I wouldn't say I'm hugely tech-savvy, and works a treat. Much better than any other options we tried to get wifi coverage through the whole house. I'm using these two for point-to-point internet into my shed (20m away) which hosts my NAS server.

Great product, that really made a difference to the wifi in my home. Previously I thought that I had a few wifi appliance issues, it turned out it was just a dodgy internet connection. Unfortunately this product did not meet my expectations, had issues with devices not connecting, interruptions with streaming, device disconnecting etc. I returned it and invested in the Netgear Orbi AX6000, best ever wifi router. The Xiaomi Mi Home AX3000 is a really nice product, setup was easy and it runs you through all the necessary steps to get it up and going.
It even copied the WAN preferences from my old Modem (I was with skinny) so you don't even need to get in contact with your ISP for the username and password (Heads-up for skinny customers the password is likely "password")

Only thing I found a bit average was the range of each individual units Wifi, if you are using just one by itself then it isn't amazing but once they are linked together then the coverage is great. My setup was 1 plugged into the Fibre box acting as the modem and 1 nearly the other end of the house linked to the Wifi (not plugged into ethernet).

The App is very easy to use and comes with mostly all you need, all was in English but I have seen some reviews where people needed to use google translate on some sites to access information as this is a Chinese product so do your own research first. I did not have this issue however and it all sorta just worked.

I searched everywhere but could not find a solution, only more people with the same problem. I contacted Xiaomi and PB Tech about it but had no replies. Was hoping to do away with the ISP modem but had to keep it and use its wifi as the admin one and treat the whole xiaomi network as a guest one. It works, but I found it might not be compatible with Router with SIM card in. It brings the network speed down. What I do is to restart it every 4 hours. So far so good.
