NETGEAR NightHawk RAX10 (AX1800) 4-Stream WiFi 6 Router

I bought this model because of price, performance and from the many positive third party reviews
Personally, I found the app not great and I thought it was rather a messy setup which, after several false promises, didn't work at all.
For me, I preferred to setup manually with a web browser and I was up and working well in a few minutes.
The user interface was structured well and it didn't take long to find the wan parameters which needed changing to work with fibre.These settings were not supplied in any documentation.
It is working well, multiple devices, enough speed for multiple movies without any problems.

Spammed by Netgears filter
Don't switch on the automatic WiFi selection - it plays havoc with Echo Show's. Other smart devices are ok (Yeelight, Echo Dot, AppleTV, Sonos speakers, Samsung smart TV) Great for a 3 bedroom single story house. No dead spots.

Needed a new router as the one supplied by Spark was not up to the task, mainly was not allowing my Panasonic TV Viera link to access files from my ReadyNAS and occasionally dropping the connection for no reason. I was given very good advice and shown a range of product that would suit my requirements. A huge improvement on my older version of Nighthawk. The older machine was a pain to set up and manage. With the Nighthawk phone app., this model was a breeze to set up and is very, very easy to manage.

Bought a replacement router. Tried to get it going myself, but the Netgear app was saying it couldn't locate the router, even though I was connected to it through the wifi.

Thinking it was due to my limited knowledge, I got Geeks On Wheels to come around. After the techie struggled with it for over 1.5 hours - which cost me the same amount as buying the router itself - he said the router was faulty

Geeks guy ended up having to call his Yoda, eventually working out it was down to the VLAN setting, and VLAN is called something else within Asus' interface

So thanks Netgear, Asus (...and PB) - you've managed to make getting onto the internet spectacularly difficult, expensive and stressful

Brought this as a replacement for my old standard supplied router, recommended from PB.
After hours of trying to set it up myself and through one nz and netgear support, it still didn't work. Stating is wasn't compatible with the network.

Much better range and stability than the standard Spark modem, bit of messing about to set up on Spark, but thankfully a prior review had listed the process to go through, settings to adjust etc, followed this, and had no issues. Router was bought to increase coverage in the house - SO far works great with no complaints.
