We have a down stairs room, tablet received 1bar max but enough to stream Utube just... 15yr old phone - nothing.
He wants to be down in the room with his mates, but needed wifi.
I looked at expander and read about powerline products. Having never heard about such things i was a little yea right....

This was plug and go, add the wifi code and plug in the PS4 and wow this thing works better than we could of imagined.
The staff recommend the right product. So pleased. Recommend.

Great product works well if you only have 1 weak spot. But Net Gear do not sell individual satellites into NZ, even though it states that you can use up to 6 satellites to expand the system.

The quality of this varies wildly, depending on where you plug it in. I was expecting to get near lossless wifi transmission but typically get only 10-15% of what the main modem pushes out.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but have tried in a bunch of different plugs throughout the house. This wasn't cheap so pretty disappointing all round. Doesn't perform as well as advertised. The product provides network connection to the 3rd level as required, but lost connection to the ground floor. This means as we move around the property, we have to switch networks to get coverage. It seems you would have to extend this purchase by purchasing extra units for the ground and 2nd floor. After years and years of increasingly more powerful yet frustratingly difficult] routers, powerline etc - this product combines them all for a simple plug-in and set-up solution. It provides the coverage that our family needs, living rurally in 2 separate [but proximate] buildings and 2 stories. For the first time two adults can work from home with children streaming video/audio in uninterrupted blissfulness - now for a month. Only slight drawback is the need to watch for lightning and power interruptions as the device cannot be used through a surge protector. Great product though. We unfortunately have a fibre connection in the opposite corner of our house to where we use the majority of our devices. We've tried range expanders with no success, possibly owing to the block construction and awkward shape of the house. The powerline has given us full coverage all over the house, was dead easy to install and is a great, fast connection. Two weeks in, really happy with the product! I understand these are a case-by-case product and I'm sure they work for others. Just that in my situation, it gave me a wifi signal in a deadzone but then tanked my ethernet speed to my computer.
