Just picked this up to upgrade away from my ISP provided Modem/Router and cannot say enough good things about it. Does so much more than what the size (and the price) of the device would lead you to believe. Worth every cent. Tiny, reliable and grunty. Relative straight-forward to set up. Lots of guides online. For what you get you can't complain about the price. Just wish other Ubiquiti stuff was priced so competitively. This little Router is an incredibly powerful piece of kit for the price. Particularly for those that either have an Access Point Wifi solution (Ubiquiti is great there too), or simply dont want Wifi. This is a solid performing little router do not let its small size and reasonable price mislead. It does what it is designed to do really really well. As pointed out by others it is not for the novice user as it not just plug and play and requires some degree of knowledge to set up. There are a couple of easy to follow videos on You tube which show the basic settings for NZ which are quite helpful to get you started. Epic router for the money. Compact but full of functionality. Totally rock solid not needed a reboot (unlike those free routers from ISPs). It is an amazing device, truly enterprise grade stability and performance however it is a it's not powerful enough for a 1 Gb connection.

First er-x received firmware failed to update twice via web interface then enabling another setting (HWNat) totally screwed it up, couldnt factory reset, couldnt connect in any way to it, bricked. RMA and second one is perfect and firmware updated and configured just fine, very strange. Lots of weird issues like this online but device is great once its working properly.

3 stars due to being touch and go.
