Setup using mobile app, although it failed first attempt, 2nd attempt via mobile app worked.

Using with 10Gbe uplink and it's running well.

I upgraded from a USG and Cloudkey (Gen 1) to the UDM Pro...setup couldn't have been simpler. I backed up my network configuration file from the cloudkey, before plugging in the UDM Pro, and followed the instructions on its little display. My only grumble is that with the supplied power cable sticks out a good 2 inches from the rear of the unit, and as a result I am unable to fit it into the wall mounted rack that I have...Though this problem is easily solved by using a 90 degree 3 pin plug which I have had to buy seperately.

The main reason that I chose to upgrade is that with a gigabit fibre connection I was unable to take full advantage of ubiquity's advanced security features found in their gateway devices, without sacrificing most of my internet speed doing so. With the UDM I am able to have the threat detection features enabled while enjoying the 900+Mbps that my fibre connection affords me.

I upgraded my home network, use this for their protect camera software to add cctv and for the network monitoring capabilities. Lots of youtube videos on setup and very expandable.

Turned on some of the advanced features, but still need to play around with them. A bit of gaming is done in our house and the local device threat protection scanning seemed to kill one game due to bad net coding (not a fault of the UDM Pro).

I purchased this when I increased my fibre speed to 900/400 and it works a treat. I already have Ubiquiti gear (camera's, switches and access points) so it was a very easy upgrade. Make sure you upgrade to the latest firmware version first and the easiest way to do that is connect this to your existing fibre modem then connect via the Unifi app and bluetooth.

Because this one's going straight to the pool room. A great all in one prosumer router/firewall for your rack. It was easy to set up on DHCP or PPPoE (as I changed providers), but when I changed to a static IP the UDM Pro didn't seem to want to connect unless the PPPoE settings were still used. I've not gotten around to trying to figure out why as uptime is in demand around the house for streaming and web surfing.

Good support is available online via the community forums, and Ubiquity staff seem to pick up the thread and sort out issues (figured I had to power cycle the ONT when switching from DHCP to PPPoE).

Plus side - As an router, handles internet 900Mbps + local network routing, WiFi config, without any issues, IPSec VPN ok too.

Do not buy atm if you're expecting good software and non gimmick features seen in other "gaming" routers. I'm considering returning under CGA if PBTech is happy to accommodate Ubiquiti's lack of software engineering.

The firmware loaded on wasn't compatible with my Vodafone ONT, but was able to SSH on to the device to perform an offline firmware update. Once talking to the internet, everything was smooth as. The network controller software is exceptionally good, and was up and running with my restored configuration from my existing controller. The hardware itself feels well built, and the fan is not noisy.
