Pros: After having a fibre broadband upgrade completed recently in my home, the necessary placement of the modem in a downstairs location resulted in weak reception in some of the upstairs, rear rooms. This very simple, economical and compact range extender, once placed into an upstairs wall socket, now provides excellent reception throughout the home, on both 2.4 and 5.0 GHz bands. I see a lot of good reviews here, maybe they were just happy that the Internet worked in a particular room. In my experience, the fast lane tech doesn't work: it's just broken. The signal from this is weak, especially 5GHz and it drops out. Worst of all, 250mbps ends up 20mbps. From high speed fibre to literally ADSL speeds. Big oof. My PS5 actually does better from the source router. Wish I could return it and wish I'd bought the cheaper one and not wasted so much money. Simple to set up but...
There was about 15m between the router and the range extender, then about 15 meters to the security camera.
Sometimes the connection worked, sometimes it didn't.
I tried for about a week without success.
I had to change to an ethernet cable. Simple to set up but...

This is a great little unit that takes up minimal space on the double plug in the hallway, Relatively easy to set up by following the online links and setting up using the computer.

Picked up the weak signal internal wifi signal at the far end of the house from the router and strengthened it enough to cover security cameras on the outside. Excellent product.
