Creality FDM 3D Printer K1 MAX Desktop Version Up to 600mm/S - Build Size 300 x 300 x 300 mm

I've owned a few printers and have a number of mates into them.

This printer is very close to turn key. Take it out of box spent 10 mins on that, then let it do its 15 or so mins of calibration/test run. All good.
I was unlucky... the filament would not load through the extruder.
After pulling the hot end and extruder apart - which was annoying but not terrible, I found a small piece of white filament - presumably from Creality Quality Control checks jammed in the extruder gears.
After clearing that, I was able to load my filament and put it all back together and away she goes.

A benchy of great quality in 40 mins print time... no that is nowhere near as fast as this machine goes.

I only bought this printer, because Creality have now given root access - so you can dig into the settings. I hate closed ecosystems.

So, it is a great printer, but accept that tinkering may be required from time to time...

While being a little more difficult to do the filament changes than the v3 se I purchased originally ( yeah, i know, I'd only had that one a few weeks, but in my defence its a gateway drug) everything about the unit is stylish and clean. Its very fast and capable, and via the network and the onboard camera i can look at a job printing on it on my phone (through browser) and even control the thing.

With the v3 se i have to copy the gcode files to print onto an sd card, then plug that in the machine and go through menus, with the k1 i just send it straight from the slicer app.

Also turns out the version of the k1 max i got was *also* called the v3, but yeah, its a massive upgrade from the entry level unit pb also sells.

Absolutely no regrets in getting it, though 1 difference between them is the v3 se you could have running in your bedroom or in the same room as someone trying to watch a movie or listen to music, but the max with its more intensive cooling would be too noisy. It doesnt affect me when Im working next to it however.

WOW!! This printer is so fast, easy to use and the results are fantastic. I have been printing on a smaller printer (250x250) that has been modified over many years. This printer out of the box puts my old printer to shame. Using Creality software for the first time, but easy to use, pre set values for the hyper PLA and results are next level, super fast and fantastic final results. Had it a week and 7 rolls down and zero issues or print errors. Do your self a favor and just but this, you wont be disappointed! WOW!! A great starter printer with potential for up sizing items. We have had it on since purchase with only 1 filament blockage happening after colour change.
Easy to follow instructions and set up, probably 20 mins before we started printing.

I bought this in February 2024 and did have two common issues within the first week which I fixed up via YouTube and the helpful Facebook Creality K1 Max community group.

Quality of the prints are excellent and the K1 Max print speed is awesome. My printer came with a White Hyper PLA 1KG roll and I since bought several other colours. I would recommend the K1 Max 3D printer.
