ATTENTION:

There is no click-in and click-out design for card reader on Raspberry Pi 3. You just need to insert your TF Card to bottom of card reader or pull card out directly. It's different design from Raspberry Pi 2.

Q&A:

1. Audio Configuration:

The Raspberry Pi has two audio output modes: HDMI and headphone jack. You can switch between these modes at any time. The following command, entered in the command line, will switch the audio output to HDMI:

amixer cset numid=3 2

Here the output is being set to 2, which is HDMI. Setting the output to 1 switches to analogue (headphone jack). The default setting is 0 which is automatic.

Strongly recommend:

Avoid chipset get overheat situation, put the board into one enclosure with heatsinks and fan. (Key words: heatsink, case, fan)

Raspberry Pi Raspberry Pi 3 Model B

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B with 1.2GHz 64-bit Quad Core and 1GB Ram

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B is the latest 1.2GHZ Quad Core 1GB Ram credit-card sized SBC (single board computer). It's a miniature ARM-based PC which can be used for many of the things that a desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays High-Definition video.

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B board is supplied as board only, and comes without operating system, SD card, power supply, keyboard, case or cables - but these are all available from us!

What's difference from the "Raspberry Pi 2 - Model B"?

Built-in WiFi & Bluetooth!
1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core processor vs the Pi2's 900MHz 32-bit quad-core processor
50-60% Performance Increase in 32-bit mode
LED's moved slightly so might not show through all cases

What's the same as the "Raspberry Pi 2 - Model B"?

Everything else!
Same size and layout as the Pi2 - so most Pi2 parts (cases, add-on boards, etc) still fit.
Backwards Compatible: Most exisitng software for the Pi2 will still work on this latest model

I bought this with the PSU, 16GB SD card and the official Pi black enclosure. Works like a charm. Initially installed HomeBridge on it so I could have Siri control my Z-Wave lights but wife wanted a simpler way of watching movies so now it's running RasPlex. Simple, easy. Great product. If only RasPlex supported output of TrueHD or DTS-MA (I read it's a limitation of the HDMI chip on the Pi3 which is still light years ahead of the older Pi2 or original Pi).)

It's good. I use LibreELEC with it as a DLNA/UPnP client system for my main TV paired to my Linux computer in the study room. It makes a great device for local network media streaming and for learning about cloud computing and programming. Works best with a Kodi based OS for using it as a media player.

However do not think you can use it as a replacement for other streaming devices, as getting Youtube, Netflix etc to work effectively on the Raspberry Pi is a nightmare. If you want to get a small device for purely streaming from the internet get a Chromecast, much less hassle.

Pretty cool little device, cheap and easy to set up. Does need the heat sync if you're doing anything intense on it.

Great product. I now have my own cloud, local network storage, network printer + a bunch of other stuff for ~60NZD (Raspberry Pi is a very well supported product so setting pretty much anything up is not a problem)

Big jump on previous model in performance. Having Wifi and BlueTooth built in makes it easier and saves USB ports.

More power than nearly every computer I've owned in my life, packed into a tiny board with built in Wi-Fi and ethernet. What's not to love?

Answer:
you would be better off getting this SKU SEVRBP0065 which would have everything you need to run except a keyboard + mouse. You would have to provide them yourself, and then you should be good.
