This is an audiophile quality DAC by Apple.
Super high quality DAC for the price
I've run a headset through these for about a month now and I've had no audio/mic issues so far. It's even reduced the noise that I got running my headset through the built in aux port on my laptop.
Look elsewhere
Full volume required to drive my high impedance headphones, a cheap feeling build and a cable that feels like (and did) break in no time.

We use this to add a standard headphone jack to a USB-C iPad mini. Great sound quality, no complaints.

Good purchase for an IEM/earbuds
I bought this dongle to use with some IEMs I just bought. Using it on my PC there's no static anymore with the headphone jack itself and the volume is crazy loud now. Had to turn down the master volume in Valorant from 100% to around 15% to play. Good dongle for whatever you need.
