Belkin USB-C to 4-Port USB-C Hub

Host machine is a Lenovo Carbon X1 with only 2 USB-C ports. Client has bought a dual laptop screen extender.
The setup works well when using the USB-C ports natively from the laptop, however this leaves no charging port on the laptop.

Solution, extra USB-C ports.....right? Well, despite using USB-C power supply, this unit could not initialize the additional screens at all. Nothing on the box nor the Belkin website suggest otherwise.

In the end I plugged the power source into one laptop port, one monitor into the other USB-C port and then resorted to using a 20W USB-C wall charger and an HDMI cable to wake the second monitor up.

Very annoying. Hopefully PB will take the unit back. Otherwise it's wasted money on a failed experiment.

I bought this port hub to be able to plug more extensions into my Macbook Air. I can now easily have my charging cable plugged in, plus my headset. Power comes through great, but it's important to note the original 30W charger that came with my Macbook wasn't enough to power through the Hub. I bought a 45W charging block, and now it charges as it did without the Hub.

Video does not transmit through the Hub, so connecting a second monitor through the hub will not work. I bought this port hub to be able to plug more extensions into my Macbook Air. I have so many hubs that only work with certain attachments ... but this hub will take my power, my other hub and my wireless microphone!! What a pleasure.

I was looking for a good USB-C hub that I could use to connect several devices to and came across this one.

I am very pleased with it. I have a MacBook Pro and connect an external keyboard plus mouse to it. At times, I also add an external backup SSD and a camera. I even used it to connect to power and that worked great too. The hub performs like a charm and all the devices work fine. The one thing that is a pity is that you cannot detach the cable that goes into the laptop. It is stuck to the hub. That makes it harder to carry with you when traveling. Bought to provide a set of USB-C outputs from my new UGREEN USC-C card, and stuck it on the front of my desktop. It works perfectly and I'm very happy with it. Works as described although I'd hoped to run two monitors through it which doesn't work. However, I can connect USB-C SSDs to my Mac Mini without having to reach around the back.
