A great little tablet for the pricepoint, and my very first product from Lenovo. As others have mentioned, the battery life is very good and I've found that it can last 4-5 days without charging and that's from using Netflix for a few hours and light browsing on a daily basis. Obviously, performance is nothing like the flagship models from Samsung and Apple but then again, this is only 1/3 of the price of an iPad and very affordable. All good... got one to replace an older lenovo tab with cracked screen. mostly used for netflix/youtube/skype, it does the job, no problems. reasonable value for money. solid design if dropped (but recommend to get the cover case). I have been considering the M8 for some time as an adjunct to my SW radio hobby. I have now loaded it with google/android software for my hobby. I bought this to replace an ageing iPad mini 4, as I’m a bit over paying the Apple tax for something I just use to read books and magazines :) This thing is faster than the Mini 4, and is pretty comparable in many other ways but has a better battery life. My wife got one too, to replace an older Kindle Fire and it beats that on performance too (and doesn’t have the rigorous Amazon advertising waterboarding experience). I think if you’re after a cost-effective tablet for media consumption this is a great option. Note, it ships with Android 9, but if you let it (and we did) it will auto-update to Android 10, which is a nice touch.

This is a cheap tablet that nails some of the things that matter. Build quality is great, touch screen responsiveness is ok and the screen is good enough. Speakers and camera are passable. The only thing that holds this back from being a good tablet, is that it's slow as all hell. I could not recommend this for general usage or for playing games. But if you need an extra tablet as a remote, or as dedicated Spotify device, or to watch YouTube at the gym, this will get the job done at a great price. Naturally, this is a step up in terms of specs and having used it now for a couple of weeks, I'm very happy with the purchase. I'm using the tablet for web browsing, viewing YouTube, and other light tasks and on this level it performs very well. I'm guessing that it's not built for gaming. Good value for money.
