I have tried out all the AC and DC ports with different devices, and it's sucessfully powered/charged all of them without an issue. The power station warms up a bit while using the AC inverter, but if you're just on DC it says very cool. Takes about 7 hours to charge fully from flat and you can charge and supply power to devices at the same time (pass through charging) but this takes longer to fully charge and produces more heat. Comes with loads of different connectors for solar charging, car charging and AC wall charging and you can even jump start a car with this if you find you had a flat battery. Compared to the price and spec of the competition (GoalZero) this solar generator from PowerOak is very good and worth keeping for power outages or outdoor pursuits. Also smaller and a lot lighter to carry than I was expecting (around 5kg).

I originally purchased this to run an outdoor live streaming setup and was amazed when I was able to plug in a 32inch TV, Small Switching unit, 4 HDMI splitters a Wireless microphone and a PA speaker. After an hour the power level was still at half!!!!!!!! I have also used this to jump start 2 batteries and again it performed perfectly. Have only owned this for a few weeks but am super impressed.

This has proven to be a very good purchase. I recommend it for anyone who needs power to run their computer but doesn't have access to an inverter in their vehicle. This unit is solid, 400Wh of pure sine wave AC, use it all the time, with sometime DC for simple HP/battery bank recharge. Anyway, it will accept more than 120W input, but its MPPT controller smart enough to put that limit into action. If I have to nitpick, sometimes I get E14 error code, seems it struggling with output >180W for AC. I’ve looked at the traditional car battery based systems for years and always resisted. Now with this style I have the convenience and simplicity we get with our phones. So easy to charge and use I’m loving it a few weeks in. I mostly use it for portability when travelling and sleeping in my van.
